MediaCorp’s English free-to-air Channel 5 could not have picked a better host for the gig.
Class 95FM DJ Jean Danker will host the channel’s newest talent competition The 5 Search. The reality talent competition aims to find Singapore’s next acting and hosting powerhouse to join the stable of artistes under MediaCorp’s Artiste Management Unit. The winner stands to win $30,000 cash and a two-year artiste management contract with MediaCorp.
Jean went to her Instagram and Facebook pages to break the news, posting the photo below while backstage at the MediaCorp TV Theatre.
She also posted another photo of the judging deliberation process where the top 15 will be chosen from the judges’ auditions. The judging panel has not yet been revealed but we already are playing the guessing game judging by the heads we’re seeing in this photo.
Spotted during the audition process were familiar faces to the entertainment industry such as 987TV host Aiken Chia, Carrie Models face Zaccheus Sabai and Singapore idol co-host Matthew Zachary Liu.
The 5 Search premieres on Channel 5 on January 4th, 2015.
