MTV #MovieAwards: At Half-Time, Not Many Hysterics On Display

AUTHOR

We’re halfway through the MTV Movie Awards here at MTV Headquarters and it’s been decent so far! Alright, I’ll give it to them.. it’s been great. The hotdogs and tator tots that MTV are offering us by the dozen here in the press room don’t hurt either!

The usually-wacky red carpet horrors characteristic of MTV’s shows were thankfully shunned by many stars this year. Stay with us as we take a closer look at the glamourous gowns and suave suits in a separate post this afternoon only on Popspoken!

So far we’ve not seen any major upsets in terms of wins, with popular favourites like Tumblr sweetheart Jennifer Lawrence and her fellow baker tribute Josh Hutcherson picking up some of that coveted popcorn.

Here are the winners from the first half of the show in order, minus the sass:

BEST ON-SCREEN TRANSFORMATION: Jared Leto in “Dallas Buyers Club”

BREAKTHROUGH PERFORMANCE: Will Poulter in “We’re The Millers”

BEST COMEDIC PERFORMANCE: Jonah Hill for “The Wolf Of Wall Street”

BEST VILLAIN: Mila Kunis in “Oz The Great And Powerful”

BEST SHIRTLESS PERFORMANCE: Zac Efron in “That Awkward Moment”

TRAILBLAZER AWARD: Channing Tatum

BEST KISS: Emma Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, Will Poulter in “We’re The Millers”

Stay tuned to our website as we bring you the complete list of winners PLUS our red carpet review AND our thoughts about the night’s music performances before the Asia telecast of the show at 8pm (WIB), 9pm (SIN/HK/PH), 10pm (MAL)!
