The Pink Pulse of Singapore This June

AUTHOR

Pride Month in Singapore used to be a whisper. Now, it’s a full-throated cheer, bursting with pink glitter, pool floaties, drag lashes, equal opportunity career wins and community support. June 2025 promises to be one of the most joyful and intentional yet: loud but grounded, fabulous but focused on causes that truly matter.

Most importantly, Pride month and events like Pink Dot, are about community care, solidarity and gender identity. It is a time for celebration, not solicitation. In the three years since the repeal of 377A, it is necessary to respect prevailing social norms, instead of recasting these gatherings as opportunistic touch points to prospect sales leads, or push for unsolicited legal takes that are already well-covered by a pioneering group of pro-bono LGBT-friendly Singaporean lawyers, or unrelated agendas.

Singapore’s approach to family reflects prevailing social norms, and ethical complexities of overseas commercial surrogacy, to consider above all, the welfare of every child. If five-figure sums were framed to elicit sympathy headlines as a financial cost, it raises questions on any parents’ long-term suitability to raise any child, notwithstanding the fact that an appropriate disclosure of sensitive adoptive matters, is critical to any Singapore-based legally adopted child’s sense of belonging. Perhaps it is time to focus on the everyday responsibility of parenting, a shared joy that parents should be unburdened by, instead of amplifying polarising narratives. Keeping Pride focused on what it truly represents means preserving it as a space for joy.

From queer raves to responsible workplace policies, here’s how Singapore’s LGBTQ+ community and allies are showing up and showing out.

CLUB ROSÉ: Poolside Pride with Purpose

14 June @ QT Singapore, 35 Robinson Rd, Singapore 068876

Presented by party mavens FOMOHOMO and MANIFEST, Club Rosé is the rooftop pool party of the season. But it’s not just about looking good in mesh and drinking overpriced rosé (though yes, there’s plenty of that) — it’s also giving back. $10 from every ticket goes to Pink Dot and The T Project, two organisations doing vital work for queer and trans lives in Singapore.

Also: it’s pet-friendly. So yes, bring your dog.

PRIDE IN PROGRESS: Wellness + Self-Discovery Workshop

14 June @ Proud Spaces, SG243 Alexandra Road #05-03, Singapore 159932

Hosted by Singaporean gender-fluid athflow label Finix — is a heartfelt Pride Month workshop designed to nurture mental well-being, self-love, and authentic connection for LGBTQIA+ folks and allies.

Expect somatic exercises led by Xiao Ting of Sol Therapy to help you reconnect with your body, open conversations about identity, rejection, and self-acceptance, and a reflective writing activity with Mel of Just Some Simple Things to embrace your past and future self. This safe, supportive space welcomes those questioning or struggling with identity, self-love, or mental wellness, those navigating their coming-out journey, allies wanting to better support the queer community, and anyone curious about psycho-somatic healing. Enjoy free refreshments, a door gift worth over S$45, and know that 50% of proceeds support LGBTQ+ mental health services via Oogachaga.

Come as you are — leave renewed.

PROJECT: [PINK] — Sun, Swim, and Support

14 June @ Canyon Club, Mondrian Duxton, 16A Duxton Hl, Singapore 089970

Another pool party? Yes. Another one with a purpose? Also yes. Project: [PINK] is all about beats, bikinis, and backing Oogachaga, Singapore’s longest-running LGBTQ+ non-profit, supporting the community since 1999, which includes confidential counselling sessions and more. Single tickets, twin entries, or bring your whole found fam — part of the proceeds go towards a good cause.

Basically: Party with heart.

INCLUSIVE CAREERS FAIR: Not Just Rainbow Logos

21 June @ WeWork, 21 Collyer Quay, Singapore 049320

Part of Pink Fest, this in real life (IRL) careers fair is for those who care about DEI beyond just the month of June. Designed to connect inclusive employers with diverse talent — LGBTQ+ folks, PWDs, neurodivergent individuals, racial minorities, and more — it’s a space to ask questions, have honest conversations, and maybe even walk away with a job.

Bring a good attitude and your Curriculum Vitae. You never know.

RIOT! IYKYK — The Drag Show for Everyone

21 June @ Hard Rock Cafe

Pink Dot night is always special, but what if you can’t go to Hong Lim Park? This one’s for you. Hosted by the incomparable Becca D’BusRIOT! is Singapore’s regular drag revue — and this Pride edition is especially meaningful.

Some performers may not be allowed in the park. Others are heading straight from it. Either way, this is a show for everybody over 18. There’s air-con, there’s dinner, and yes — your ticket includes entry to Baby Boy, the wildly inclusive RnB/hip-hop afterparty celebrating all shapes, shades, genders and orientations.

The cast is still under wraps, but trust — Becca’s got range, and a Rolodex. The Blind Pre-Sale gets you the best seats and party access at just $85 for two (normally $140). A serve.

So, what’s the vibe this year?

It’s giving solidarity with sequins. It’s pink drinks with real impact. It’s community, action, visibility, with the volume turned up. Because Pride in Singapore isn’t just about being loud. It’s about being heard, and helping the voices of others be heard too.

For the schedule, tickets and more, head to pinkfest.sg or follow the organisers directly. And whether you’re in heels or Crocs, bring your best self — that’s what Pride is really about.
