Global superstar The Weeknd is finally returning to Singapore and this time it’s bigger than ever. Promoted by live entertainment giant Live Nation Entertainment, the chart-topping artist will bring his record-breaking After Hours Til Dawn Tour to the Singapore National Stadium for two nights on 2 and 3 October 2026.
For fans in the Lion City, the concerts mark the long-awaited return of the Canadian singer, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, after nearly eight years away from Singapore. Known for cinematic stage productions and a catalogue of hits like Blinding Lights, Starboy, and The Hills, the show promises a spectacle blending R&B, pop and dystopian visuals — the same formula that has propelled the tour to historic heights.
In fact, the After Hours Til Dawn Tour has already crossed the US$1 billion mark in ticket sales, making it one of the highest-grossing global tours of all time and among the most successful tours by a solo male artist.
VIP experiences for the ultimate fans
For those looking to upgrade their concert night, several premium packages are available.
The top-tier Ultimate VIP Package includes a reserved seat plus exclusive perks such as access to a pre-show lounge with complimentary canapés and drinks, a professional photo opportunity taken from the stage area, limited-edition merchandise, and priority access to official tour merchandise.
Two additional tiers — Gold Lounge VIP and Silver Package — offer different levels of perks, ranging from lounge access with a DJ spinning Weeknd tracks to collectible tour items and drink vouchers. While these packages don’t include a meet-and-greet with the artist, they promise an elevated experience designed for fans who want more than just a seat in the stadium.
The larger industry backdrop
The Singapore shows arrive at a moment when the global live-music industry, and especially the role of concert promoter Live Nation, is under increasing scrutiny.
In the United States, the U.S. Department of Justice and dozens of states filed an antitrust lawsuit in 2024 accusing Live Nation and Ticketmaster of monopolising the live concert ecosystem and limiting competition. More recently, a federal jury also found the company had, against anti-competition practices, maintained monopoly power in the American ticketing market, potentially setting the stage for financial penalties or structural changes to the company’s business model.
Despite the legal battles, Live Nation continues to dominate global touring — and tours like The Weeknd’s remain some of the most commercially successful spectacles in modern pop.
For Singapore fans, though, the focus will be simpler: getting through the ticket queue and securing a spot when one of the biggest shows in the world lands in town this October.
