Cavalia: Galloping To A Majestic Tent Near You

AUTHOR

12 August 2014 is a special date. That’s when Cavalia makes its Asian Premiere in Singapore, after touring North America, Europe and Middle East. The stunning equestrian performance features 50 horses and its creator is familiar with turning fantasy into reality, having been the co-founder of Cirque du Soleil.

Following discussion with the government, Cavalia was granted permission to make use of the plot of land at Bayfront Avenue (beside Marina Bay Sands), to erect the world’s largest touring tent. A strong team of 80 worked on-site to complete the majestic Cavalia Village which houses a gargantuan stage that is backed by a dynamic backdrop, that will be created out of 2,500 tons of sand and earth. Inside the tent, a light spectacle that will coax viewers to enter a dream-like realm amidst the performance.

The highlight of Cavalia is undoubtedly the horses, which lends the show a fantasy element, especially for the kids. Our four-legged friends, being the stars of the shows, are pampered by being fed only the best Granny Smith apples, and flown in on a chartered 747 aircraft.

At some point during the show, the four-legged beauties will be allowed to run free, unbridled by harnesses or halters, in their full glory of elegance and vitality. There will definitely be some form of magic floating around, and we can’t wait to experience it.

Cavalia runs from 12 August 2014 to 14 September 2014 at Bayfront Avenue (the white tent next to Marina Bay Sands). Ticket details here.
