Mariah Carey returns to Singapore with The Celebration Of Mimi this October

AUTHOR

Lambs, assemble—Mariah Carey is back. After a seven-year hiatus from Singapore, the music icon is set to take the stage once again for a one-night-only concert on Wednesday, October 8, at The Arena @ Expo.

Titled The Celebration Of Mimi, the concert brought to you by ColorAsiaLive commemorates the 20th anniversary of Carey’s landmark 2005 album The Emancipation of Mimi, an album that’s not only close to the singer’s heart, but one that changed the course of her career. Hailed as one of the greatest comeback albums in pop history, it earned her three Grammy Awards (including Best Contemporary R&B Album) and went on to sell over 15 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling albums of the 21st century.

Fans can expect a powerful, nostalgic ride through some of Carey’s most iconic hits, including We Belong TogetherIt’s Like That, and Shake It Off. If her recent Las Vegas residency is anything to go by, the live show promises thoughtful staging, vocal gymnastics, and personal storytelling—all signature elements of a Mariah Carey performance.

Beyond her accolades—200 million records sold, five Grammy wins, and 19 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1s—Mariah Carey is pop royalty. Her enduring influence spans decades, from her 1990 debut Vision of Love to the modern-day holiday juggernaut All I Want for Christmas Is You.
