Yohji Yamamoto x Supreme Capsule Collection Leads with Avant-Garde Edge

AUTHOR

Supreme continues to strengthen its relationship with Japanese avant-garde design through a fresh Fall/Winter 2025 capsule with Y’s by Yohji Yamamoto. The collaboration dropped globally on September 11 and across Asia on September 13, reaffirming Supreme’s ability to merge downtown energy with high-concept craftsmanship.

This season’s capsule leans into cooler weather while showcasing both brands’ signatures.

Outerwear takes the spotlight: a sleek leather jacket sets the tone, joined by a faux-fur WINDSTOPPER® hooded bomber engineered for insulation and movement. Denim classics, a work jacket, utility pant and jeans – carry familiar streetwear silhouettes but are refined through Yamamoto’s minimalist eye. The collection also spans knitwear essentials including a sweater, thermal and zip-up hooded sweatshirt. For lighter layering, a short-sleeve shirt and three graphic T-shirts provide everyday versatility without losing the capsule’s edge.

Accessories and headwear underscore the collaboration’s detail-oriented approach. A six-panel cap and knit beanie feature co-branding, offering subtle yet collectible pieces for fans. Silver jewelry – a bracelet and a wallet chain – injects a skate-inspired glint into the mix, while a collaborative hand fan exemplifies the unexpected touches that have defined Yohji Yamamoto’s decades-long influence on global style.

This latest partnership reflects more than a seasonal drop; it highlights a dialogue between two distinct design languages. Supreme brings its New York street credibility and a culture of limited releases, while Y’s channels Yohji Yamamoto’s penchant for subverting fashion norms through structure, fabric and proportion. Together, they produce a capsule that feels at once familiar and forward-looking.
