Asia’s largest festival at sea has wrapped another unforgettable charter at IT’S THE SHIP 2025 biggest cruise party in the region. From 16–18 November, thousands of Shipmates from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and beyond boarded the Genting Dream for a three-day voyage powered by global headliners, immersive theme nights, and the kind of community spirit that has defined the festival since 2014.
This year welcomed an impressive 66% first-time Shipmates, many experiencing the festival’s unique blend of music and adventure for the very first time. Four floating stages kept energy levels sky-high, with ALOK, Nicky Romero, Timmy Trumpet, and more than 65 artists delivering sunrise sessions, poolside throwdowns, and midnight madness in every corner of the ship.
But as always, the real magic lived between the sets. DJs mingled freely with guests over BBQs, mini golf, neon dance workouts, and even spontaneous pickleball challenges with the debut of PICKLE AT SEA, created in partnership with Pickle in the Sky’s Pocket Pickle. Experience partners FICTION (Korea) and ALTRXEGO (Guam) added another layer of discovery, curating hands-on workshops and pop-up surprises that transformed the ship into a floating playground.
The most unforgettable moment came during Timmy Trumpet’s electrifying set, when Malaysian Shipmate @trusthebuzz proposed to @lavalicioussss as the crowd erupted around them—proof that IT’S THE SHIP isn’t just a festival; it’s an emotional journey shaped by the people who sail.
From throwback nights at Retro Metro to the chaos of Sleepless Society, the comic-book fantasies of Superheroes vs Villains, and the cathartic singalongs of Who Hurt You, each theme night became a portal into a different world. Because at the heart of IT’S THE SHIP are the Shipmates, strangers who become friends, friends who become family, and in the best of cases, family who become forever.
