Neon Lights Festival 2019 has added Australian acts Hot Dub Time Machine and G Flip to Sunday’s (Nov 24) lineup, following American pop star Halsey’s abrupt cancellation yesterday (Nov 20).
Performing under the Hot Dub Time Machine moniker, Tom Lowndes is an Australian DJ. For his chronologically-arranged sets, which start with music from the 1950s till present day, the 40-year-old is termed the “World’s First Time Travelling DJ”.
Georgia Flipo, also known as G Flip, is an Australian indie pop singer-songwriter from Melbourne. The 25-year-old began drumming when she was nine, and released her 10-track debut studio album, About Us, on Aug 30.

American pop star Halsey has pulled out of Neon Lights Festival 2019, just four days before her headlining gig at Fort Canning Park.
Citing “unforeseen circumstances”, festival organisers announced the cancellation through an Instagram post on Wednesday afternoon (Nov 20).
A replacement act will be announced within the next 24 hours, wrote Neon Lights Festival. Refunds are available via SISTIC and Ticketflap, and requests for refunds must be made by Nov 21, 8pm, said organisers.

Halsey was also due to headline the three-day Clockenflap Music Festival, scheduled to run in Hong Kong over the same weekend. The event was cancelled last Friday (Nov 16) due to escalating conflict in the area.
Halsey herself appeared to be in good spirits on Instagram, posting a selfie just half an hour before the cancellation was announced.

The 25-year-old singer made headlines earlier this week, shutting down pregnancy rumours after boyfriend Evan Peters was photographed holding her belly.
The couple confirmed their relationship just last month by dressing as Sonny and Cher for the American Horror Story Halloween party.

Now in its fourth edition, the two-night Neon Lights Festival 2019 will see performances by Nick Murphy fka Chet Faker, AURORA, Clean Bandit DJ/MC set, BADBADNOTGOOD, Fleetmac Wood, Joan, MMLD and more.
