Rev Up Your Engines, Here Are F1 After-Parties You Must Attend

With just three chords and a “hey”, polarising EDM duo The Chainsmokers will headline this year’s 2017 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix

Said to be Formula 1’s last run in Singapore for a while, it’s no wonder that all guns are a-blazing for the Formula 1 concerts and after-parties held this year.

Here’s a rundown of our favourite after-party picks:

Zouk Singapore

Ever since Singapore’s beloved music institution moved to Clarke Quay, it has continued to book international names such as Sven Vath, Tiesto, Above & Beyond and more in the past year.

This year, it cemented itself as Asia’s top club as ranked by DJ Mag in its annual Top 100 Club poll. To complement the high octane races, they’ll be bringing in trance wonder-kid Andrew Rayel on Saturday, 16 Sept who’ll bring a dynamic performance to the table.

Mika Hakkinen F1 Zouk

They’ll also be welcoming two-time Formula 1 champion Mika Hakkinen to Capital on Thursday, 14 Sept as part of Johnnie Walker’s “Join The Pact” party.

Best part about 14 Sept? It’s free entry for the public from 9pm onwards. They extend this kindness on Sunday, 17 Sept by dishing out complimentary drinks for the ladies from 10pm – 12 midnight; and waiving the entrance fee for the public to revel to the tunes of Andrew T (AOS Collective) as he closes off the weekend’s festivities.

14 Sept / 17 Sept: free admission after 9pm, 15 Sept: standard entry applies, 16 Sept: $50 at the door

Amber Lounge

The extravagant party is back again this year! Well-heeled drivers are known to make guest appearances at its fashion showcases and pop up randomly in the thick of the night.

Chi Chi Von Tang

Since days when John Martin from Swedish House Mafia graced the party, the music programming has been brought down a notch. RAYE, famous for her guest appearance on Jax Jones’ “You Don’t Know Me” will be performing this year.

Podium Lounge

Visibility this year for Podium Lounge is at an all-time high. Having invested in cooler old school acts such as Macy Gray, Coolio and Pixie Geldof, the after-party held in its 9th consecutive year is seemingly on a crusade to transform its image as a hangout space for socialites to a rocking party venue.

Podium Lounge

Our only concern is whether there’ll be air-conditioning this year as we were sweating buckets at some of the past year’s parties when it was held at the outdoor area of Ritz Carlton.
