Singaporean DJ and model Tenashar has signed to Universal Music Singapore to release her first original single, “Traffic“.
This makes DJ Tenashar the second local artist to be signed to the major label, after indie-folk singer Gentle Bones‘ announcement back in May 2015.
In an official press release, the artist expressed, “It is an absolute honor being part of Universal Music. I strive to put Asia high up on the global EDM charts, and now I have the opportunity to take us higher and further than we’ve ever been before.”
Listed as #87 in 2013’s DJ Mag Top 100 DJs, the Tenashar bombshell (words the artist’s own) has attracted over 1.6 million fans to her Facebook page. Born Debbie Valerie Long, the DJ/model has been skirting through the many faces of EDM. She is most at home in the big-name genres of trance, progressive house, and big room house.
