K-Pop Star TWICE’s TZUYU in Singapore Next Week, Popspoken Has the Details and an Exclusive Opportunity for Our Readers

One of K-Pop’s most recognisable stars is heading to Singapore for an exclusive media conference tied to the Atlassian Williams F1 Team × DAN DA DAN collaboration, bringing together the worlds of K-Pop, Formula 1 and anime. And for Popspoken readers, there may be an opportunity to be part of it.

[Special Opportunity]: Readers interested in attending can follow @Popspoken, tag / share this article in your active social media page, and Register interest for attendance (Attn: RSVP for TZUYU), before the Venue is released closer to the day.

TZUYU, the 27 year old, Taiwanese professional singer and member of South Korean girl group TWICE, is signed to major Warner Japan, that Popspoken has a wide reaching partnership as well as distribution with.

She first rose to prominence through the reality programme Sixteen, where she was selected as one of nine contestants to join the newly formed group in 2012. But her profile extends well beyond the stage. In 2024, TZUYU announced that she had completed a master’s degree in applied psychology from Miguel de Cervantes European University in Spain. She pursued the degree online for more than a year, allowing her to continue her studies, and mature in her thinking as well as pedagogies, alongside her career with TWICE.

It is an academic achievement that adds another dimension to a performer better known globally for her music, beauty and stage presence — and a reminder that the K-Pop star’s career exists alongside interests and ambitions away from the spotlight.

TZUYU has also established herself as a solo artist. Since TWICE’s debut, TZUYU has developed a career that extends beyond the group. In 2024, she released her debut solo EP, Aboutzu, led by the single “Run Away”, which became her first number-one single on the Billboard Taiwan Songs chart. Her latest project takes her into an entirely new arena.

TZUYU has been announced as the voice of the official theme song for the Atlassian Williams F1 Team × DAN DA DAN collaboration. The song and accompanying music video are scheduled for release in early 2027, ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix.

The collaboration is a surprising meeting point between the high-speed world of Formula 1, the global reach of K-Pop and the distinctive fandom surrounding anime manga DAN DA DAN. With TZUYU attached to the project, the crossover extends beyond a traditional motorsport partnership into music and contemporary Asian pop culture.

For Singapore, however, there is an added element of surprise.

The collaboration brings together three very different but increasingly interconnected worlds. We are excited, that in Singapore, TZUYU will join the creative partners behind the project for an exclusive press / media conference, for publicity, and offering a closer look at the thinking behind this unusual cross-cultural collaboration.
