Singapore’s largest media-backed automotive event, The Car Expo, is back on May 3 and 4 at the Singapore Expo, promising a bigger-than-ever showcase for car enthusiasts and shoppers alike. Organised by SPH Media, publisher of The Straits Times, The Business Times and more, the event will host 48 automotive brands, the highest number since August 2022. The lineup includes authorised dealerships, established brands, pre-owned car dealers, commercial vehicles and car accessory brands.
Several new car marques will debut at the event, including Deepal, Farizon, Jmev, Proton e.Mas, and Riddara, reflecting the growing variety in Singapore’s car market. Visitors can enjoy perks such as SPC fuel vouchers worth up to $1,000 with the purchase of a new or used car. The first 50 shoppers each day who spend at least $80 on accessories will also receive a $10 SPC cash voucher. Admission is free, with doors opening at 11am on May 3 and 10am on May 4.
Adding a digital twist to the motoring buzz, Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team has partnered with WhatsApp to launch The Seat — a 45-minute documentary revealing how 18-year-old Kimi Antonelli or Andrea Kimi Antonelli, landed a spot in one of Formula 1’s most coveted race seats, who is not named after the prominent racer, Kimi Räikkönen, but by the brother of his father, who is a huge Kimi Räikkönen fan. The film offers an unprecedented look at internal discussions, including private WhatsApp messages, showcasing how modern tech plays a role in elite motorsport decisions.
Whether you’re in the market for a new ride or just love fast cars and future tech, The Car Expo promises an exciting mix of real-world automotive experiences and digital storytelling. For more information, visit thecarexpo.sg.
