With the recent success of swimmer Joseph Schooling, national pride is at an all-time high. What better event than to celebrate with an announcement of an all-local bonanza at one of Singapore’s biggest electronic dance music festivals, Ultra Singapore 2016?
The music festival, held at 1 Bayfront Avenue at Marina Bay, will see  highly-rated Singaporean Future Bass producer Myrne, rapper Shigga Shay, house duo Rave Republic, and indie pop outfit The Sam Willows joining the likes of international acts such as Above & Beyond, Afrojack, Alesso, Axwell^Ingrosso, deadmau5, Kygo, and DJ Snake over the span of two days on September 10 and 11. The whole line-up can be viewed here.
The Korean flag will also be waved high, with the likes of Korean pop king Jay Park, Hyolyn, Justin Oh and Raiden, as well as chill-trap artist Slumberjack joining the highly rated line-up.
Music festivals in Singapore have recently dedicated more performing spots for local acts, dedicating stages to them. Such examples of music festivals have included Neon Lights, ZoukOut, and Laneway Festival.
Tickets for Ultra Singapore 2016 can be purchased for $222 for a two-day pass, or $142 for each individual day pass at https://ultrasingapore.com/tickets/singapore/.
