Get ready to laugh out loud, Singapore. The world’s most iconic comedy brand, Just For Laughs, is making its highly anticipated debut in the Lion City this November with Just For Laughs Singapore — a brand-new festival bringing some of the biggest names in stand-up comedy to Asia.

Running from 24 November to 15 December 2025 across multiple venues, the festival signals Singapore’s emergence as a rising hub for comedy and live entertainment. Founded in 1983 in Montreal, Just For Laughs has grown into the largest and most prestigious comedy festival in the world, launching the careers of countless comedians and drawing millions of fans across continents. With established editions in Montreal, London, Vancouver and Sydney, the festival is synonymous with legendary lineups, electric atmosphere, and sold-out shows. Now, Singapore is joining the comedy map.

“We’re incredibly excited for the launch of Just For Laughs Singapore. As a crossroads of cultures and creativity, this city is the perfect place to host a festival dedicated to the universal language of laughter,” said Sylvain Parent-Bédard, President & CEO of Just For Laughs. “Our partnership with Now/Live ensures that comedy fans can look forward to a lineup that will resonate with audiences in Singapore and beyond.”

Leading the charge is Jimmy O. Yang, who kicks off the festival with his Big & Tall Tour at The Star Theatre. Known for his breakout role on Silicon Valley and scene-stealing turns in Crazy Rich Asians, Love Hard and Netflix’s Space Force, Yang has built a reputation as one of the most versatile comedic voices of his generation. His sharp wit and relatable storytelling have translated into sold-out shows at Carnegie Hall and The Forum in Los Angeles, and he’s set to star in Taika Waititi’s upcoming Hulu series Interior Chinatown.

For local audiences, his Singapore show promises the same mix of personal humour and cultural punchlines that have made him a global fan favourite. The festival doesn’t stop there. British legend Eddie Izzard brings The Remix Tour, reimagining highlights from her 35-year career. Comedy veteran John Bishop celebrates 25 years on stage with warmth and wit, while Jason Cheny, a Taiwanese-American rising star, brings his cross-cultural brand of comedy to Mediacorp Theatre. The centrepiece of the festival will be the All-Star Gala, a one-night spectacular featuring Jason Cheny, Jamie Wang, Brian Tseng, Jason Leong, Douglas Lim, Norah Yang and Vivek Mahbubani. “Asia is a hotbed of comedy and the inception of JFL Singapore is timely. I am really honoured that you all will be a part of it,” said Jason Leong.

With this blockbuster debut, Singapore is set to cement its place on the global comedy stage — and audiences can expect world-class laughs all season long.
