LaLa Hsu Mesmerises Singapore with “Sometimes, Less is More”

With six acclaimed studio albums, three live concert albums, and a voice often described as crystal-clear and faultless, LaLa Hsu once again proved why she’s one of Mandopop’s most captivating artists. Her “Sometimes, Less is More” Concert Tour touched down at The Star Theatre on August 8, delivering a night of heartfelt music, masterful rearrangements, and visual splendour.

The award-winning singer-songwriter, who won Best Composer at the 34th Golden Melody Awards for her 2023 album Gei, has transformed over the years through relentless dedication to both her craft and her personal life. This tour embodies that growth, also, a celebration of maturity, authenticity, and joy.

Just like its sold-out debut at Taipei Arena last November, the Singapore show was meticulously produced, marrying pristine acoustics with striking stage design. Fans were treated to inventive reimaginings of LaLa’s classics, each stripped back to its purest musical form. LaLa’s exuberance was infectious, her every smile and note filling the theatre with warmth.

It was a night that underscored her boundless creativity and reaffirmed why her music continues to resonate so deeply across generations.
