The café scene in Singapore has grown significantly from a handful of boutique cafés into a thriving culture within the past few years. Café hopping is perfect for Sunday brunches, chillin’ with bestfriends and Instagram-worthy latte art – what’s not to love?

In light of such a café-licious phenomenon birthed from our little red dot, organising committee TGLS (Tell Little Great Stories) presents Café Fest 2014: the world’s very first café hopping street set against the backdrop of the Singapore skyline! Whether you’re a serious coffee lover, a music junkie, or just attracted to festive festivals, there’s something for everyone at Café Fest.

Here’s everything you need to know about what’s brewing at Café Fest:

~COFFEE, of course!

The highlight of Café Fest are definitely the 12 participating local cafés, coming together from all corners of our big island and setting up booths at the festival to put their best cuppa forward. Coffee lovers wouldn’t want to miss this opportunity to witness their favourite cafés interacting together to create some coffee bean magic.

Of course, a café isn’t complete without yummy food and sparkling drinks. With each participating café hand-picking a few of their best brunch and finger foods, you will be wishing that your stomach is a bottomless pit. We’re particularly looking forward to the Amsterdam-inspired fries & mayo dip from I Am… Café, and the signature croissants from Tiong Bahru Bakery. Yum!

One of many, many, Pinterest picks. An EUREKA moment.

Follow each café on their Facebook and social media accounts for possible updates on what to expect from their festival menu!

Because music and coffee make for a perfect brew, every participating café has sent in a specially curated Spotify playlist that integrates with their café story and ambience. With genres ranging from indie to reggae, the trusted Spotify playlists will keep spirits up all day!

For Spotify users, click here to open a sneak preview of the curated Spotify playlists by participating cafés!

(Psst, look out for the chance to win FREE Spotify Premium codes during the festival. You’re welcome.)

Concert-goers, you are not forgotten! Café Fest has organised an exciting line-up of local musicians to play live throughout the festival including 53A, Marc X Hashy, Kai, and Pixel Apartment.

What’s a festival without some really cool merch, right? Café Fest has got some great home-grown retail brands as partners of the festival, including Kapok Singapore, Basheer Graphic Books, and Books Actually.

Also, other sponsors such as Sabura, OCBC Frank, Spotify and and more that will be sending represents (and possibly exclusive treats?) to the festival as well!

With SO MUCH to look forward to Café Fest 2014, we’re buckling our seat belts and all set for the first weekend of September that will most definitely leave us begging for more.
