DIO Burger (‘Do It Ourselves’ Burger) is tucked away in the luxuriant greenery of Turf City. The unassuming burger joint prides itself on serving fresh, unfrozen meat patties. The permutations of burgers are endless. DIO provides consumers with a choice right from the beginning – from the bread, right down to patty variants and the kind of vegetables.

For big families, the screening of cartoons on their LED TV will definitely keep your child fixated so you can savour your meal in peace. Start your DIY burger experience by selecting the bun: Brioche or whole-grain, either option will be toasted to perfection.

Unfortunately, not all burgers are created equal. Utilising prime ingredients, DIO burger certainly left its contemporaries, McDonald’s, Burger King and Wendy’s far behind. In comparison to the more established gourmet burger joints such as Relish, Omasake Burger and Suprette, Dio has put up a good fight with their mean patties and wide selection of condiments.

Singapore Melts with Wagyu Beef

The indulgent Dio Wagyu Burger is reasonably priced at $16.80, and on top of that, I requested for the Singapore Melts (additional $5.80) which embellished the toothsome burger with swiss cheese, grilled onions, a succulent portobello mushroom and stringy bacon.

Healthier options such as the wholesome Home Smoked Chicken Breast ($10.80) and Pacific Fish ($10.80) are also available. Have fun with your burgers by making use of the free-flow of vegetables at the relish bar. There, you can mix-and-match your burger with lettuce, tomatoes et al at no additional cost. If you are still not satisfied after stuffing your face with that juicy burger, not to worry, as all burgers come with a serving of crisp steak fries.

Dio’s Onion Rings (10 pieces at $4.80) are sinful but worth a mention. The onion rings left a lasting impression as they were  deep fried to a crispy brown and oozing with oily goodness.
