2016 is proving to be a big year for street brand Vans, as they usher in their 50th anniversary. To celebrate, the brand invited creative artists, skateboarders and musicians as part of their “House of Vans” tour.

As part of the celebration here, street culture influencers such as Hong Kong’s Kevin Boy and local rapper Lion City Boy (no, they’re not related and yes, his real name is Kevin too) were invited to share their thoughts on the brand.

Singapore’s arts group, Tell Your Children, held a workshop to let fans get their hands dirty, designing their own paper Slip-Ons. The group, made up of 4 creatives – Deon, Lydia, Kevin & Russell – have just returned from touring Canada and the States, painting one mural at a time. The quartet has also worked with Facebook, New Balance, and MTV Asia.

To commemorate its golden jubilee, Vans has also launched their Gold Pack Special Edition – a 22-piece collection. In this collection, you can expect sneakers in their classic silhouettes such as the Authentic, Classic Slip-On, Era 59, Old Skool, and Sk8-Hi Reissue, all with a touch of gold. The gold theme is further extended to their bags, caps, tanks, and tees.

The Vans 50th Anniversary Gold Pack retails from $39.00 – $109.00 and is available now at all Vans outlets.
