Singapore Fashion Week (SGFW) is getting some exciting additions to its already impressive line up.

As its first year back with the official title of Singapore Fashion Week, this event is rebranding itself as a platform for a variety of fashion geniuses. The five-day fashion extravaganza from May 13 to 17 will be featuring international designer catwalk shows are well as pop-up stores at Tang Plaza.

One of the new additions, Dion Lee, will be presenting his globally renowned cutting-edge Autumn/Winter 2015 womenswear line on May 14. This Aussie designer has gotten global recognition for his innovative and contemporary aesthetic, as evidenced by his clothing being sold at high end stores like Selfridge’s and NET-A-PORTER.

Another label loved by Singaporeans, Love, Bonito, will be showcasing a 20-piece collection in collaboration with Tex Saverio; an Indonesian couturier, whose pieces have been worn by Jennifer Lawrence in The Hunger Games (remember Katniss’ wedding dress?), among others. Expect juxtaposition between the signature pastel hues of Love, Bonito with sharp structures and forms from Tex Saverio.

These designers will be joining the already prestigious designer crowd, including the anticipated Diane Von Furstenberg, Thakoon and Victoria Beckham as well as local master minds like Ong Shunmugam, Elohim by Sabrina Goh, Collate the Label and the winner of the Harper Bazaar’s Asia New Generation competition.

Be prepared for an eclectic mix of pure craftsmanship and experimental creation from the new generation of designers this May!
