What a ride it has been. Three days of stunning Spring/Summer 2014 collections from some of the best of Singapore’s fashion premiered on the Digital Fashion Week catwalk and showroom space. From Max Tan’s “Wild Wild West” chess piece-like pieces to Mae Pang’s brights and fluorescent power, DFW has offered the platform for Singapore fashion to have their own spotlight in the regional and international fashion scene.
DFW closes tonight at the National Design Centre in Middle Road. The livestream starts today at 12.30pm Singapore time (GMT +8) with a make-up tutorial from the folks at The Body Shop Singapore and a hairdo tutorial from Label M.
Then, watch the backstage and showroom action live before Al & Alicia begin their show at 6.30pm Singapore time. (Expect the shows to run late though, as experienced in the past three days. And, you know how fashion events run — the term “fashionably late” has to come from somewhere, no?)
Then, British guest designer Holly Fulton will close DFW at 8pm Singapore time with her much-anticipated Asia debut of her Spring/Summer 2014 collection, which features a ton of streetwear-inspired flower power. Keep your eyes peeled for The Face winner Devyn Abdullah as well as Asia’s Next Top Model winner Jessica Amornkuldilok as they both take the runway on the final day of DFW.
