In anticipation of #DigitalFashionWeek (or DFW 2013), which starts today, we managed to get a little pre dosage of meeting Naomi Campbell, the face of DFW, before she makes her Southeast Asian runway debut together with international models Devyn Abdullah and Jessica Amornkuldilok (Asia’s next top model) later on at night.

The supermodel made history by being the first black model on Vogue and Time, and has since carved a name for herself in the fashion industry. Her secret to success? Always giving 110% in whatever she does. Naomi’s eye is set on the Asian fashion scene as it is “growing so fast, if you blink, you’ll miss something”. Having met so many elites around the globe, Naomi reveals that the person she was most enthralled to meet is Nelson Mandela, which actually comes as no surprise, considering how she shares his views about dismantling the apartheid.

Digital Fashion Week
