[UPDATE (15/10/15 4:58PM): Due to unforeseen personal matters, Martin Rosen will not be attending the Perspectives Film Festival. Thus, the masterclass “Bringing Your Characters To Life: An Animation Masterclass with Martin Rosen” scheduled for Saturday, 17th October 2015, will be cancelled.

He is also unable to attend the scheduled dialogue session after the screening of “Watership Down” on Friday, 16th October 2015. Ticket holders for the masterclass will be contacted for a full refund.]

The director of critically-acclaimed 1978 animation film Watership Down, adapted from the Richard Adams novel, is coming to Singapore.

Martin Rosen will grace the Perspectives Film Festival happening from October 15 to 18 at the National Museum of Singapore. Watership Down will also be screened as part of the festival on October 16.

After the film screening, attendees are invited to stay on for a post-show dialogue with Rosen where they can exchange views and perspectives with the filmmaker.

To lend some insight into the film’s production process, Rosen will also hold an animation masterclass during the festival. Scheduled to be held on October 17, the masterclass will have Rosen speaking about the birth of his first animation film, from adapting it in its stages of infancy as a novel to the final delivery of the film.

P.S. Win a pair of tickets to catch a film in PFF’s lineup! Take part in our contest here (ends Oct 5, 2359h).
