Local music portal/gig-finder Bandwagon has announced a floating music festival, and it would feature an all-local line-up on board a Missisipi riverboat at Stewords Riverboat, Marina South Pier on 22 January!
The music festival will feature the likes of indie rock band Stopgap, electronic duo [.gif], blues rock band Cheating Sons, singer-songwriter Dru Chen, Hip-Hop trio Mediocre Haircut Crew, ambient producer Fauxe, deep-house producer Blankverse, lo-fi act Linying, and DJ A/K/A of Attagirl – of which most of these acts have made to our top 25 Singapore releases of 2015.
Daniel Peters, Editor of Bandwagon, says, “We’re no stranger to events but this prospect of handling an amazing line-up on a boat is incredibly exciting for us, and we’re so happy everyone’s just as stoked!”
“This event is just the start for more experiences we’re planning ahead, filled with quality live music and (hopefully) more beers and steaks.”
The cruise will be split into three decks, with each deck dedicated to a particular theme. The first deck will be the piano bar – which will feature mainly acoustic acts, the second deck – the progressive sounds of Cheating Sons, [.gif] and Stopgap, and the top deck will feature the likes of electronic acts Blankverse, A/K/A and Fauxe + Mediocre Haircut Crew.
There will be games, as well as food and drinks which are available for purchase on the ship.
Tickets can be purchased for $32 at http://riverboat.peatix.com.
