Grab a tissue box and hold your favourite cushion close because Adele. Is. Back. Following four years of relative silence in the press, a possible new Adele song has been publicly aired on UK television!
Britons who were tuning in to The X Factor UK on Sunday night (18 Oct) were pleasantly surprised/utterly gobsmacked when a commercial break featured a 30-second-long clip of Adele’s velvety voice set over a simplistic lyric video in typical Adele Black.

“Hello, it’s me. I was wondering if after all these years you’d like to meet to go over everything. They say that time’s supposed to heal ya, but I ain’t done much healing.” And just like that, the Queen has begun her journey to reclaim her throne. This is the first time since her birthday tweet in 2014 that Adele herself has made any reference to new material. Industry rumours have placed Adele’s much-anticipated new album (widely referred to as “25“, though unconfirmed) for a 20th November 2015 release date. This comes after a suspicious change in album release date for One Direction‘s fifth album “Made In The A.M.” from 20th November to 13th November, a move that has been interpreted as Sony Music making way for a larger release. For the most part of this year and the last, Sony Music has alternately declined and refused to comment (I really pity the intern taking all these calls). The fans, however, are cheering any news that they can get their hands on. Known as the “Daydreamers”, Adele’s loyal fanbase have come out of hibernation to celebrate the existence of new concrete material from Adele.

I literally have never anticipated something longer than Adele’s return. I have waited 4 years, 8 months, and 30 days.
