Two EPs, three full-length albums and one cancelled Singapore show later, We Came As Romans (WCAR) are finally getting to say that they have came to our Lion City.
This post-hardcore band from America is set to blow the roof off at St. James Power Station for their first concert here on May 20th. This show is part of their Asia leg tour, with Singapore being WCAR’s first stop in Southeast Asia followed by Hong Kong, Taipei and Bangkok.
Armed with crowd favourites like “Hope” and “To Move On Is To Grow”, WCAR promises a night of raw metalcore music and heartfelt emotions through their lyrics that are bound to resonate in their Singapore fans.
WCAR is one band that believes in the power of changing lives through their music. How do we know this? “Tracing Back Roots” by WCAR, the same title for their current tour, talks about finding yourself again after sinking into self-doubt. It expands on a deep, personal struggle most of us deal with at some point, and provides a solution within the song itself as well.
My home is in the words you sing
Every letter of the notes you bring
Every story you tell of feeling alive
When you hear these words
And you change your life
You change your mind, the way you think
These words last forever on your skin in ink
– Tracing Back Roots by We Came As Romans
Inspired by real-life encounters with fans, WCAR understands and appreciates the impact they are making on fans all over the world, continuing to spread a message of hope to listeners.
If you have followed the band long enough, you would agree that the legacy WCAR is creating will always be the larger-than-life focus that the band takes pride in, apart from their energetic blend of melodic screams and hardcore instrumentals.
And this legacy is exactly what we can expect to experience for ourselves at their Singapore show. Tickets are selling fast at $60 from Inokii, but here’s the catch – We may just have got your tickets covered.
