Bombay Bicycle Club Proclaims Their Love for Cereal Chicken

Just when we thought we might be missing Bombay Bicycle Club live after tracking their tour details, we were gladly surprised to the news that the Londoners would be visiting Singapore once again I perform tracks off their latest record, ‘So Long See You Tomorrow’.

The crowd was already hyped up when Jack and gang started the set with ‘Overdone’. A lot of the set would have been mind blowing if we could have heard the sick guitar parts loud enough. But all that was drowned out by the crowd singing to the instrumentals and lyrics. By the time we reached ‘Carry Me’, we really hoped the crowd would have gone all out and danced along to their indie-electronica tunes. However, the majority were watching the performance off their recording devices. Maybe someone should start doing a Prince – who declared that the “internet is dead”, and strictly enforces a ‘no smartphones or cameras’ rule, in hope that his fans can be fully-engaged and present during his shows.

It was definitely a show we came out feeling incredibly satisfied especially after waking at godforsaken hours in the morning just to catch the act play at various festivals round the world.

We caught the band offstage, where they proclaimed their love for cereal chicken to us, and shared with us snippets of their early beginnings.

We will be giving away 5 CDs (So Long, See You Tomorrow) to readers who share this post and tell us who Bombay Bicycle Club holds in high regard as a performer.* This contest ends on 23 August 2014, 23:59. Winners will be chosen at random, and contacted via email by 25 August 2014. Prizes courtesy of Universal Music Singapore.
