 About the Orchestra

The Metropolitan Festival Orchestra (MFO) is the only fully-independent orchestra in Singapore. Their inaugural season last year saw the staging of the first “Lord Of The Rings” concert, a groundbreaking production that ran for three nights to an audience of over 7,000 people in total. Apart from the aforementioned LOTR sequel,  this year’s season also features “Bridging Frontiers”, a “celebration of orchestral music” that brings together Western and Chinese classical music in a spectacular marriage of the two eminent cultures.
