Yuna Responds To Indie Critics And Plays Charades

It is 6pm, just six hours after Malaysian songstress Yuna arrived in Singapore from the US, after finishing the US leg of her Nocturnal tour. The previous interview crew is taking some time to dismantle their set, so she goes to her team’s sofa at the Parkroyal Pickering Street Hotel to munch on potato wedges and speak to her mum.

We sat next to Yuna while waiting to prepare our set. She looked visibly tired, but was still all smiles and obliging with questions. She told us she had to go for a soundcheck later at the Esplanade Concert Hall for her one-night-only concert here the following day. Her mum said hi to us. Nope, she wasn’t wearing November Culture. She smelled good. Really good.
