Day 3 of Future Music Festival Asia 2014 in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur is cancelled.

According to The Star, police reported nine concertgoers collapsing Friday after allegedly consuming drugs at 1.30am Malaysian time. In a report by Astro Awani, two of the nine concertgoers are Singaporeans.

The Singapore spokesperson from the public relations team handling the event assured media in an email statement that only one death was reported on festival grounds and “no information was given about the deceased, especially nationality”.

Set to perform on the last day include acts such as Yuna, Pharrell Williams and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

Bassjackers posted this photo of them en route to the FMFA venue with DJ Martin Garrix before tweeting later that they “hope to play for you very soon” after the official announcement was made.

Riot police were on standby according to Instagram user @annesamad, who posted this photo of Malaysia’s Federal Reserve Unit officers forming a human barricade inside a sealed entrance, as many continue to crowd the entrance. Social media reports also noted that people inside the concert grounds were also barred from exiting briefly.

Investigations are ongoing.
