Dashboard Confessional Live in Singapore 2013

With the year coming to a close, there is one last gig that anyone who has romanticised the 2000s must not miss out on. On 4 December 2013, Chris Carrabba, frontman of Dashboard Confessional, will be in town for a special acoustic performance! With his rock band, Chris won our hearts making hits like “Hands Down”, “Vindicated”, “Stolen”, and more. For more than a decade, their heartfelt and almost anthemic ballads have been making waves among the “emo” generation of musicians and teens alike. While Dashboard’s last album (“Alter the Ending”) was released in 2009, we certainly haven’t forgotten our favourite tatted up crooner, who wrote the soundtrack to our angst-ridden youth/love life or lack thereof, making it sound more poetic than it really was.

2013 has been a busy year for Chris, with the release of the self-titled debut EP from his new indie folk-rock project. Twin Forks is musically distinct from Dashboard and his other well-known outfit Further Seems Forever. Think less soul-baring melodies, and more Mumford and Sons, but equally original and refreshing, with Chris’ raw breathy vocals blending surprisingly well with folk music sensibilities. There is no doubt that Chris always brings something new to the table.

To top it off, Chris will be taking requests from the floor. So what are you waiting for? Grab your tickets now!
