[UPDATE Apr 12, 11am: Added details on DJ Modium]

DJs Andrew T from the AOS collective, Eclipse and Modium will headline a new dance festival, ReVite, by the folks at Invite. The inaugural edition is set to be a whole-night affair on May 25th at Wavehouse Sentosa.

Modium‘s recent gig list has seen him play his signature EDM beats at clubs like MINK, Pangaea, Altitude, Ku De Ta and Tanjong Beach Club. He is a regular support DJ for HEDKANDI and has his remixed signed to RCA Records under Sony Records, Island Def Jam, Capital Records and Atlantic Records.

Andrew T, resident DJ at The Butter Factory, needs no introduction — he has carved a name for himself as one of Singapore’s most popular and sought-after DJs, with his brand of hip-hop and trance. Andrew was a music director for the Singapore Youth Olympic Games in 2010.

Eclipse‘s electro and hip-hop beats have catapulted his name into the big leagues, having won Best DJ by Juice Magazine in 2011, just one year after he won Best New DJ by the same magazine. He also released a mix album under Universal Music, TEASE, which resulted in a similar themed night at his residency in Phuture.

Modium will open for ReVite, followed by Andrew and then, Eclipse. No other acts have been announced as off press time. Wavehouse Sentosa’s flowbarrel will also be thrown in for partygoers. Tickets cost $19, with prices at $29 at the door. Tickets can be bought at the ReVite website.

Invite is a company that produces an app of the same name. No details about the app are out yet but it hopes to bring online interactions offline by creating an experience where users can track which of their friends is around the area they are in at any one particular time. The app is scheduled to be launched this month.

The app also allows users to switch between activating their friend list or going to the “all” settings to see app users in the area that are not their friends. Users are able to turn off their visibility between the All, Friends & Mobile Contacts, and Friends lists.

Invite held their first invite-only party at Le Noir in late March and if that party is any indication of the mood of ReVite and the app, founder Shaun Wang stuffing drinks into everyone’s mouths and being a darn good host is a sign that these boys from Invite (John Wong and Lee Wei Xuan are Invite’s other partners) know how to make you feel right at home.
