It’s gonna be 2 stages of mayhem come February 12 as Fort Canning Park gives rise to another epic run of Laneway Festival – here’s your setlist for the day!
In what is set to be a event rundown that’s supposed to run like clockwork, Laneway Festival have just released a back-to-back setlist of acts for the Singapore leg. Divided to 2 stages, each act comes on 5 minutes after the other, giving them ample time to set-up at the off stage while the other act takes the live stage. No word on stage layout but we are assuming it’s darn near each other – it ain’t good to run back & forth stages after a couple of times.
The event is drawing the best of indie music from Australia and the world, with this year’s acts including multi-Grammy & Juno nominated singer-songwriter Feist, shoegaze band M83, London outfit Yuck and Brooklyn band The Drums which came to Singapore last year for a stellar concert. Their upcoming single, ‘Days’ is coming out on February 27th.
Performance times are a bit irregular: afternoon acts have 40-minute sets, most evening acts have 45-minute acts but M83 are taking the final slot for a full 50-minute slot, with enough time for an encore.
Here’s the line-up! Let’s just hope Laneway 2012 is is a slick one, people. Definitely no room for error in this one.
