Welsh legends Funeral For A Friend have announced a world tour, and they will be performing in Singapore at the D’Marquee, Downtown East on 19 February, 2016!
The post-hardcore/emo band, who last performed in Singapore in 2007, announced that this would be the last time that they would be performing together, having celebrated an illustrious career of over 15 years.
The five-piece outfit, well-known for hits such as “Juneau”, “Escape Artists Never Die”, and “Streetcar”, will be touring Australia, Singapore, Europe and the UK for the final time.
Says Vocalist Matthew Davies-Kreye: “It’s the natural end. We’ve done everything we set out to do and way more than I could ever have hoped so I’m not upset that it’s run its course. We all felt that ‘Chapter And Verse’ was a pretty decent full stop on an incredible fourteen and half years of making music together.”
Davies-Kreye adds: “So, how do you celebrate a huge part of your life? You play some shows!”
The band has seen a revolving roster over the past years, with most notable member being drummer/unclean vocalist Ryan Richards who left the band in 2012. Vocalist Matthew Davies-Kreye and Guitarist Kris Coombs-Roberts have been mainstays since the band’s inception in 2001.
Tickets are available for purchase at a price of S$108 at http://www.sistic.com.sg. The first 50 buyers will be entitled to a meet-and-greet session with the band.
So, why not join Funeral For A Friend when they play their swansong in Singapore? This will be the last and final time you’ll be able to see the band perform live.
