Time travel, talking bears and Gerald Chew. These are three of the many reasons to catch Sight Lines Productions’ new play – Everything but the Brain!

Elaine, a Physics teacher, ventures back in time to save her ailing father and, in the midst of all, meets three encouraging bears and a debonair doctor. Back for a third run, Everything but the Brain features a different pool of actors – Koh Wan Ching, Edward Choy, Faizal Abdullah, Amanda Tee and Cassandra Spykerman.

Theatre veteran, Gerald Chew, however, returns for a reprise of his award-winning performance as the father! Having earned “Best Actor” at the 2006 Life! Theatre Awards for Everything but the Brain, this play is off to a promising start under the direction of Derrick Chew.

Not to mention, the plot is centred on time travel! Nerds would not want to miss a play like this. Played by Koh Wan Ching, Elaine uses Physics to manipulate time and prevent the loss of her father. Seemingly a tearjerker, the play lightens it up with a family of bears played by Faizal Abdullah, Amanda Tee and Cassandra Spykerman. And yes, they talk. I wonder how that’s going to pan out. Of course, everyone loves a little romance. For that, there’s Edward Choy as the doctor to kindle a spark in Elaine’s heart.
