First off, thank you Popspoken for giving Lovatics this amazing opportunity to meet Demi Lovato. (:

My friend and I have been ardent fans of Demi’s for as long as we can remember. Ever since she started uploading YouTube vlogs with her best friend, Selena Gomez in their bedroom about four years ago, we couldn’t stop obsessing. There was just something special about her, and being crazy, pubescent teenage girls back then, she was our definition of an ideal girl crush. (:

When Camp Rock came out, our love for Demi only grew. Boy, we thought, not only could she act, when she belted out ‘This Is Me’, we were awed. We knew we had to get her album when it came out. I remembered how we would randomly burst out singing ‘Get Back’ and ‘La La Land’, hitting the high notes like we were pros and then breaking out in fits of laughter (because of how terrible we sounded hahaha). It’s times like these I love how she’s played such a significant part in our lives (heehee well, her songs rather). Also, we’ve noticed how she’s most comfortable expressing herself through music, and how she always pens meaningful lyrics that everyone can relate to. Be it in ‘Don’t Forget’, ‘Here We Go Again’ or ‘Unbroken’, her song lyrics seem to always have a sense of empowerment, and she was our biggest inspiration. Thanks to Demi, we started playing the guitar. (:

I might not have gone through the personal struggles Demi had, but as I imagined myself in her shoes, I wouldn’t think I’d have the courage to deal with it the way she did, talking about her issues with such vulnerability and candidness. This has made me respect her so much as an individual. Not only was she brave, she also had such a big heart for wanting to stand up against bullying in the hope of creating awareness and putting an end to it. In my opinion, she was more than someone I looked upon in admiration. I owe it to her for always being real, for I know it’ll give me the strength to overcome obstacles I face, telling myself to always stay strong. Because from Demi, I’ve learnt that nobody’s perfect in this world, and it’s okay not to be. Always proud to be a Lovatic. (:

Last but not least, both my friend and I have dreamt of meeting Demi since forever, so imagine how ecstatic we were when we found out that you guys were giving out tickets! Words cannot express how extremely thankful we would be if we had the chance to see her performing live for the first time. It’d definitely make us the happiest Lovatics on earth teeheehee. (:

Hello there, I’m Ryan Choo, a few weeks ago, I posted a comment on why I should win the tickets to this special night. And I realized there’s more to that… I want this really bad, more than anything. I love Demi and really if I could actually meet her, would be just amazing. See as I said, Demi helped me a lot. See I wasn’t really bullied, just so you know I’m a 14 year old dude, but I am human and whenever I’m sad or just really lonely, I listen to Demi’s music and it makes me happy. I may not know every single song or may not be the biggest lovatic ever, but Demi’s my inspiration. Haha maybe she’s my celebrity crush you can say :x As I was saying, I’m kinda insecure about how I look, since I’m over on the heavy side. So sometimes, I’ll just feel really depressed all of the sudden. Gosh, I’m lost… I don’t know what to say at this moment since I’m not that good with my words and everything and I just really want to go to this concert, real bad… I hope you see guys see how sincere I am about this, I’m sorry if I offended anyone with this, I’m really sorry, but this will really mean a whole lot to me. Thanks.

    Hi!
I’ve been watching this space for days and wondering how can i possibly win with so many great entries! But i hope that you guys will be able see that i really mean what i say and that i really really want these tickets. and with so many entries already, i decided im keeping mine short, because i think we all know by now the reasons why we love Demi Lovato – her voice, her music, and her inspirational life story :)

But aside from all these reasons, her songs mean so much to me personally.I have not gone through the same difficulties as Demi, but I’ve gone through tough times to of course, and her music was one of those things that accompanied me through them. And it’s amazing how music can speak to different people with different problems, I’m sure Demi would be very happy to know that her music does that. I’ve listened to her songs so many times (especially her first album Dont Forget), that now i kind of avoid listening to them just because i’ll usually get too emotional haha.

It will be a huge blessing if i am able to watch and hear her perform these same songs live. I dont know when i’ll ever get the chance to see her in concert again, and I would be really sincerely grateful if i get this opportunity to go to her concert. I have thought about it, and there is really no other artiste out there that i want to see live this much.
I entered another contest but unfortunately i did not win so this is my one and only chance to win tickets to her concert so, I hope you guys will give me this chance (please please please) I will be very blessed if you did :)

Thank you so so much :)

  5. Felicia Joe says:

Hi my facebook name is Felicia Joe. http://www.facebook.com/felicia.joe.9?ref=tn_tnmn

I have been following Demi Lovato ever since I was 13 or 14, when camp rock first started out. Admittedly initially I was jealous of her as back then, I had a huge crush on Joe Jonas, and she was acting as his love interest in the show. However, while watching the show I realized there was something in her eyes that caught my attention, it was the same look in my eyes I once had when I was a teenager, pain. I was immediately intrigued and decided to find out more about her background story. On the internet, I read articles that Demi was bullied as a young child because she was different from the others. I could empathize with her plight because I too had gone through severe bullying in secondary school, to the extent that my classmate threatened to use a pen knife and slit my wrists. Through those battles, I became a recluse who stayed in the libraries during recess to avoid my classmates who mocked and taunted me. I instantly felt a connection with Demi Lovato and what I saw inside her was a strong teenager who I could look up to. Despite her battle scars, she still was able to show confidence in her acting and singing. This was a far cry from how I was , someone meek and shy.

It was from that day onwards that Demi Lovato became my role model. I purchased her album “Dont forget”. Naturally her single “Dont forget” was very successful with the mainstream audience . However, there were some raw and beautiful hidden gems on her album that were not released to the general public such as “Believe in me”. It was a song that truly expressed her vulnerabilities as a teenager . Her lyrics that captured my heart the most was ” I don’t wanna be afraid, I want to wake feeling beautiful today. I guess i always knew that I had the strength to make it through”. Her falsettos really shone in this song and I could feel how from time to time she still struggled with her low self-esteem and self worth because of criticism with others. Yet, she was trying her hardest to get past the obstacle she faced. I admired her strength and determination and I desired to be like her. Once I heard the song “Believe in me”, I had tears well up in my eyes and I found myself crying uncontrollably. It was a wake up call for me and I decided to persevere on through secondary school and studied hard. This allowed me to obtain 6As for O levels. If I could have the chance to meet her, I would like to thank her for giving me the strength and courage to pursue my dreams. Even though I only saw her on television programmes, she was different from all the other actresses in the sense that she was not a wild child or anything but someone who stayed true to herself despite the pressures from the industry.

Her second album “Here we go again” soon came and I instantly purchased her album. I could relate to her songs ,”Here we go again”, “You got nothing on me” and “solo” as I was going through a turbulent relationship that was highly unstable in many aspects. “How did you get here under my skin, swore that Id never let you back in” was once the story of my life in 2009 and the latter songs talked about female empowerment and coming out stronger from a relationship. This enabled me to let go on my topsy turvy relationship as I realized that since Demi faced similar struggles and was able to get through them, why not I? Upon listening to the rest of her album, I came across a song entitled “World of chances”. It was a song written by John Mayer and Demi Lovato. This piqued my interest as John Mayer was known as this cassanova who wrote songs about life. Thus, I was certain that this song was talking about Demi’s own insecurities and struggles. This was indeed true. I immediately fell in love with the song. The lyrics I love the most is “Maybe you’ll call me someday. Hear the operator say the number’s no good and that she had a world of chances for you.” The song really spoke of this broken relationship with someone she loved and I knew that this song was not just about any boyfriend as I could almost hear her crying in the song. I went on the internet and found out that the song was about Demi’s relationship with her estranged relationship with her father who left her family when she was just a mere child. I saw Demi for what she was, someone who wanted to be loved and I immediately felt like giving her a sisterly hug. I knew what it felt like for Demi to have faced that, a feeling of abandonment and always asking God why this had to happen to her out of everyone else who had a happy family. I cried for her that day.

It was after her second album release that Demi was admitted into rehabilitation for having bulimia. The world and I found out that she was struggling with this eating disorder for sometime in order to keep up with Hollywood’s standards of being slim. In my eyes, Demi was already beautiful and yet Hollywood could not see that. It really broke my heart. I then began to watch old reruns of “Sonny with a chance”, Demi’s hit TV series on Disney channel. It suddenly dawned on me that Demi’s weight was slowly plummeting during the course of the series. I could really feel Demi’s pain as the whole world was now looking at her and watching her like an animal at a zoo, mocking her and taunting her. I too faced anorexia when I was 12 and I did see numerous doctors to help me. It was only when I started losing hair and feeling cold in shopping centers that I decided it was time for me to eat properly. I prayed for Demi to find self enlightenment and for her to start eating properly again. I knew how easy it was to become addicted and obsessed with counting calories and I prayed to God that He would show her the way out.

It was about a year later that Demi Lovato realised “Skyscraper”. It was not a mainstream song like “Here we go again” or “Dont forget” that talked about relationships with boyfriends but a song that truly highlighted Demi’s past self-struggles and problems she faced. “Go on and try to tear me down. I will be rising from the ground like a skyscraper” This part of the song really impacted me as it really showed the new Demi. Someone who knew she was stronger than what others made her out to be. Someone who knew she was beautiful both inside and out and could believe in herself. I am so proud of Demi for finally rising like a phoenix about the ashes. Her song “skyscraper” impacted millions and me to soar for our dreams and fly. I knew from that day onwards that Demi was not just a role model to me, but to millions as well.

Her latest single, “Heart attack” proves that Demi Lovato is a highly versatile singer, who’s voice can range from high falsettos to a beautiful soothing key. However to me, Demi is not just a singer and an actress but also someone who has a big heart. She has really motivated me to reach for my dreams in secondary school and university. If I win the concert tickets, I would be eternally grateful to you as I would be finally able to see my favourite person life in action and hopefully I would be able to thank her for what she has done for me.

I love Demi because of a million reasons. Her voice, how she hits those insane high notes, her killer confidence, her acting, her sense of style, her goofiness, her beautiful face, that winning smile, her hair, her stage presence, her devotion to god, her interaction with fans, and her willingness to open up. I memorize more than all of her songs, from ‘Appreciate’ to ‘Heartattack’, and I also memorize more than 2 FULL Sonny with a chance episode, i swear, you can test me if you want! Season 1 episode 13 is the first episode i memorized.

This is my one and only chance to get a ticket. I feel like a loser but when i saw her advert at the bustop, i teared up. You have no idea how proud i am of this sexy lady. Her vocals developed, and though her old songs are much more unique and demi, her new songs still sends chills down my spine. I sing her songs everyday (you can ask my family and friends) in hope that one day when she comes to SG and have a ‘sing like demi’ contest, i would be the first to sign up. Now, cause of her, i can reach those insane high notes. If she could do it when she was 16, I can do it too. Everytime i feel down or dull, I know, she’s just a click away. I listen to her music and my confidence level grows so much. I may not win this ticket, but i hope other lovatics would send my love to her. Demetria devonne lovato, I freaking love you. <3

Hello! Why i’m the biggest lovatic in Singapore? Well, she inspires me and the lyrics in her songs are just meaningful. She also made me become an anti-bully like her, to stood up for my friends when they are bullied. She managed to overcome all her struggles in life such as her addictions and eating disorder. She is a really strong woman who is not afraid to stand up for herself. Her songs made me realised that it’s not the end of the world when somethings just not meant to be. We have to get up and be strong. I can really relate to her songs and her songs give me chills. It is just amazing. She is just talented and beautiful. She has the things that all teenagers want. It’s a once in a life time oppurtunity to meet her and i would like to thank Mediacorp Vizpro for giving popspoken a chance for a lovatic to meet her live.

Whatever it is, I hope a true lovatic, who deserved it, wins. Goodluck, everyone! :)

Besides that, she is really inspirational to me. Her live performances is totally 100% better than what you listen in your playlist. I really want to be there and catch her live! Her Heart Attack live in Houston was OMGGGGGGG! I know it’s a tough choice but i hope you will pick me. She is my LA LA LAND! Although i have already GIVEN MY HEART A BREAK but seeing her, my HEART ATTACK will come back! But it will be fine as she is able to FIX A HEART. It would nonsense if i say that it WOULDN’T CHANGE A THING. It will and i hope Popspoken will GET BACK to me saying that i’m one of the winner.. Demi all the way!!

    Demi Lovato is my idol.

She isn’t like the other young popstars. She doesn’t conform herself to fit the “image” of what society wants. She admits when she has a problem and acknowledging the fact you have a problem is the first step to recovery. By not covering it up, it shows that she is such a brave person.

Not to mention, she has talent. Like REAL talent; and I know I would be listening to her voice instead of a record version when I go to her concert.

Her music is always so relatable. Me and her are close in age, so it’s heartwarming to hear someone voicing out what I want to voice out. And she is able to portray her bravery through how she sings, how they always sounds so sincere.

She is one of the few people who I truly admire and inspire to be. I think that’s the reason why I’m the biggest lovatic, because she is the type of person I want to be.

She wasn’t afraid to be herself, and also shared her story with the whole world. She’s an amazing role model. She stayed strong and didn’t gave up. It’s like an encouragement for people who experience similar situations. She’s really amazing!

Camp Rock, Sonny With A Chance, Princess Protection Programme. Dont Forget to Here We Go Again to Unbroken. Fans come and go but Lovatics never leave. There are definitely many more really dedicated Lovatics but I hope I will get this chance to just see her live — her messing up the lyrics to song, hear her laugh live, and having the chacne to sing along to her songs. Demi has helped me through with the issues I struggled with and I would really want to tell her how her music and she herself has inspired me to STAY STRONG. ‘ If you ever feel alone, put on my music and I will be there for you ‘ Thank you PopSpoken and Mediacorp Vizpro for giving us this chance to see her live :)

  22. Nur Hazierah says:

Summing up Demi in a word, she’s just amazing. There’s not enough words in the English dictionary to describe her. I watched her since she was young and ahh. I knew she was going to be famous. She had a baby like face even until now and there’s no reason why haters say she’s ugly. To me, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Haters are going to hate. But what can they do? Lovatics are much stronger than them and I know we can do this. I always envied her since young. She was pretty, cute, talented, everything you could possibly ask for. There was a man on XFactor who criticized her voice and told her to stop using autotune, but that would not stop her from achieving her dreams. She’s one of the biggest inspirations in my life. Fat? Ugly? Squeaky? That’s what haters talk about her. But in my eyes, she’s just this great star I want to meet someday. She’s my idol and I’m certain she would be worldwide famous just like the late Michael Jackson. She faced many consequences, but look where she is now. At the top. Did she ever stop believing in herself? Absolutely not. Being in my teenage years, it’s hard to cope with stress and she makes me feel motivated to work hard. That’s what makes me love her. Her attitude. She’s Demi. No one can portray her. Unique the way she is. And the best part? She’s proud of it. Demi Lovato, my biggest female celebrity inspirations in life. I trust her. I know following her would lead to success. Remember her. For her name would be famous all around the world soon. <3 Facebook name: Nur Hazierah

Hey! I love demi lovato since she was in Barney I really love her,I love her voice, her everything! She is such a inspiration to me! She acts really well I love her on camp rock

  26. The reason why I love Demi Lovato is because of her great voice and also how she is an inspiration to me. Even though she had gone through many painful experiences with bullying when she was young, she still managed to overcome all these obstacles in her life and look how successful is she now! She went through all the tough times, she overcome her problems, look at her now, she is strong and amazing in all ways. Never give up. She stands up against bullying, she inspired many who also gone through similar experiences as her like for example, during the previous season of X Factor, there was this contestant, Jillian Jensen, who also had the same background as Demi, a victim of bullying when she was young. Jillian was also inspired by Demi, she said “It made me very, very emotional knowing that we share that and knowing that this is the person who gave me courage to continue, regardless of what people say.”
Demi lovato’s singing is amazing. all her songs are awesome. This is me, Give your heart a break, Skyscraper, Fix a heart, Don’t forget, Here we go again, Unbroken and many more. And of course, her new single, Heart Attack. I love it alot!
Lastly, I really wish I have this chance to see Demi Lovato perform live, it would be an unforgettable and amazing experience for me.

I am still in disbelief that teen pop sensation, DEMI LOVATO, is gracing our shores in exactly two weeks!!! AHHHH. Who would have thought that this multi-talented and versatile singer will be coming to our Singapore, a tiny red dot? This has been the best news I have heard this whole year!

It would absolutely mean the world to me if I won these tickets. I have been a hardcore Demi Lovato fan since she made her official foray into the media through camp rock. As a newcomer pitted against the famous jonas brothers, I admit that I initially had reservations about her talent. But, her soulful singing and natural acting chops proved me wrong and since then, I am proud to call myself a Lovatic. I must have heard her “this is me” song a thousand times at the very least as I could relate to her character Mitchie, that she played in the movie, so well. It helped me break out of my shell and made me realise that holding back my dreams in fear of judgement was foolish. I have been religiously following her fanpages ever since. And to say that Demi lovato has been such an inspiration all these years is an inspiration is an understatement. Her sings are able connect to me in a way like no other songs. Her albums don’t forget, here we again and unbroken are often played on repeat mode on my hp.

When news first broke out that she was set to star in her very own Disney channel original sitcom, I was ecstatic. I was happy that she was given a platform to connect to her fans all over the world. Cos just like any other lovatic, I wanted to watch more of demi on screen. She played an amazing job on Sonny with a Chance and showed that she had the makings of a comedy actor. I have rewatched all the episodes several times as I can never get sick of them. And even though they have stopped playing it on disney, I can’t stop myself from watching it on youtube as she never fails to bring a smile to my face. And then Princess Protection Programme and Camp rock 2 released and she soared to even greater heights. But, then came her meltdown which tarnished her kids-friendly image. Others feared that she might go awry like former Disney girls like Lindsay lohan but I never lost my faith in her. I was glad that she had the courage to face her problems by admitting herself into rehab. Even though she had to grapple with many issues, she was able to overcome all these obstacles and she has emerged stronger than ever. I admire her strength to deal with problems and also her dedication as she strived to be a role model by standing up against bullying and self-injury to ensure that youths do not suffer but are able to confront their problems and seek help. Her courage to talk about the problems she faced just so that she can help others is one of the many reasons why I look up to her. She has made me understand that everybody is not born perfect and her songs serve as a reminder to always stay strong. I feel that she has been an amazing role model, being heavily involved in charity work and as a spokesperson for anti-bullying. Her recent role as a judge in the X Factor only made me prouder to be a lovatic as she was so genuine and guided the contestants so well.

There is so much more that I am bursting to say at this moment but I am aware that this post has been quite lengthy. Haha guess I got a bit carried away but she has played such a significant role in my life. She shaped my teenage years and her style has definitely influenced me. I hope you can see how much I am in love with her. I adore her for her faith and determination and also making me believe in myself. I would be eternally grateful if I was given this once in a lifetime opportunity to attend her concert. Nothing can ever compare the awe of watching her perform live, the feeling of cheering and screaming my lungs out with my fellow lovatics in Singapore. So please popspoken, I hope you are able to see how much I would appreciate these tickets. It will be the best present ever. I will cherish it my entire life. I want to see her so badly. And thank you loads for having this giveaway. Even if I don’t win, I am sure you will make 4 people in Singapore feel incredibly happy and blessed. My fb name is savannah clarke. This is for my little sister, who is a huge Demi Lovato fan. She was really disappointed when she found out about the concert and realised she couldnt go for the concert (because of the price), so i’m planning to give her a big surprise if I win the tickets.

She’s 12 this year and I know that Demi Lovato’s one of her biggest idols, she has her poster up in her bedroom and she’s got her albums and she’s always going on about her.
She has been feeling down a lot lately because of school stuff, and this will mean a lot to her and definitely cheer her up.

She doesn’t know about this contest so please help me win this for her
Thanks a lot for this opportunity :)

    Hi popspoken :)
Exactly two days before i found out that she was coming to Singapore I told my friend if Demi comes, i’m definitely going, so thank you SO MUCH for this opportunity for us fans to win tickets to her concert.
I’ve loved her music since her first album Dont forget, and I love every single song from that album and have loved her since then even when she was still relatively unknown. I’ve been a fan of hers for about 5 years now!

Aside from all the other reasons that everyone loves her, I really just genuinely love her music (especially live perfs :) ) and would simply love to hear her live.

Her voice is amazing and her music never gets old – I still listen to many of her old songs today. She is undoubtedly one of the most inspirational young artistes out there now, and winning the ticket will really sincerely mean A LOT to me.

    Thank you for this opportunity!

    Keeping my fingers crossed :)

Finally Demi is coming to Singapore! Demi is such an inspiration. Her songs, her lyrics, whenever i listen to them, i can feel her. I felt what she meant. I started admiring her when i first watch Camp Rock! She was great! I decided to find out more movies of her. Then Camp Rock 2 was out. There was also Princess Protection Progamme! Gosh that was my favourite! She made every movie awesome!! She is beautiful in every single way. I got to know she went for rehab. I watched her videos, not missing any minute of the videos. I teared, knowing how much she had gone through. She really stayed strong. I’m really blessed that she is okay now. She made m feel so much better, thanks to her, i dont feel insecure as much as i used to. Her song This Is Me is inspirational! Same goes to Skyscraper, Lightweight!

I love how she sings. She sings with full of emotions. I love her, every single bit of her. Her dressing. Her style. The way she treat others. How she gave others hope.

I love the fact that she is coming!! But i could not afford the package of meeting her. I want to watch her live concert! I dont mind going alone because i believe when i get to see Demi, i would forget the whole world. The world will stoppl spinning when i hear her voiceeee gosh. Going to her concert would make me feel so close to her. Like finally she is THERE, on the stage, RIGHT INFRONT OF MY EYES. Some of my friends said this isnt worth it because i could listen to her sing on youtube. But i dont think so! They do not understand the difference. The feeling when your beloved artist is only a few distance away from you!! Especially when he or she is DEMI LOVATO! Gosh. You dont know how many pictures of her i have in my handphone :-)

I even stalk her twitter day and night. On 18 december 2012, i tweeted to Demi a picture of her and saying please come to Singapore soon! And she is really coming on 18 March 2013!! Oh my did she read my tweet or something……… i even have my twitter and instagram name as NNAYLEH since Demi’s is DDLOVATO.

I really appreciate this chance of sharing how much i love Demi. Im so blessed for this giveaway! This is what we lovatics hope for.

The fact that our age gap are not that quite far apart and after hearing her story on what she’s gone through, it makes her so damn relatable and a role model to me. Despite being famous, she still makes a lot of effort to reach out to her fans from all over the world through her Twitter and Facebook, and I love her more because of that. Thanks for this giveaway, Popspoken. You rock!

  34. OMG DEMI LOVATO IS COMING TO SINGAPORE!!!! Finally, she’s coming. I have been waiting for this since 2008, ever since I watched camp rock. She’s my favorite singer and she’s such an inspiration! And to add on, she’s the reason why I joined twitter! (: Anyway, I would go to her concert no matter what. I’m a proud Lovatic! DEMI LOVATO IS COMING TO SG, I can’t believe it. Ahhhhhhh!!

Anyway, I really would like to win this as I would like to go with a friend of mine who loves Demi Lovato as well, just that I’m much crazier about this. We have been looking up to Demi Lovato who shows her courage and confidence on stage and at the same time, we are receiving the encouragement from her. She’s my inspiration and she will always be.

DEMI LOVATO, a fantastic singer who never fails to show her beautiful smile. She earns my respect to everything she has accomplished till today!

Hi I’m Huda. I really Love Demi Lovato as she is really an inspiration to lots of people including me and my friends. Demi really has a big and energetic voice until me and my friends really have chills when we listen to her sing. She is a role model to the younger generation and even the older generation as she had overcome what some people can’t overcome in their life. She inspire people with the stories that she tells and the songs that she sings and the way i see it she has really helped alot of young girls and boys to change for the better and start to appreciate themselves for what they are and not for what they are not. I was really touched by her actions as she tried to help people by making them realised that everyone is beautiful and we should treat each other nicely and not cruelly. I seriously could not think of any other better role model other than her. She is just awesome.I first heard her voice in camp rock when she sang ‘this is me’ and I was really stars truck as her voice is one in a million. I started to listen and supported her Since. Her singles and albums ‘Dont forget’ , ‘La La Land’, ‘Remember December’, ‘Here we go again’, ‘skyscraper’, ‘Give your heart a break’ and now her latest single that she just released yesterday ‘HEART ATTACK’ . I listened to almost every song that she had released and now I’m addicted to her latest single ‘heart attack’. Me and my friend kept singing that song in school till we could not get that song out of our head. It was surprising that she released the song yesterday and I almost cried when I was listening to that song because I was really surprised and excited at the same time and i was smiling and laughing to my phone until my brother thinks I’m crazy. That’s how much I love her as her fan. Since she is coming to Singapore for the first time I said to myself that I could not miss this concert since it is an once in a lifetime opportunity. This is a really really BIG opportunity for me. Thank you for having this giveaway and I hope that I have prove myself as a true lovatic.

  36. Hi, I am Syazana Ruslaine(also my Facebook name) and I appreciate the opportunity given, to enter this contest. :)
First and foremost, Demi Lovato has been the most inspirational young artist to walk this earth and I believe she is nothing short of a true inspiration for a lot of people around the world too. Her beautiful and yet powerful voice, with sincere lyrical moments, never failed to tug a string or two in my heart. She is just an honest songbird and she has never been ashamed to show the world how perfectly imperfect she is as a person. She is just as invincible as her music and no, no one can ever take that away from her! I find myself singing to her songs in times of duress with my three siblings, jamming it out and recording like our whole lives depended on it, just so I could bring myself back up, and tell myself hey, it won’t rain forever. Demi Lovato’s numbers are like sunrays after a storm, imagine how pretty that is! Seeing her live would be the best day/evening/night/event ever in 2013. I was so psyched, finding out about her first ever performance in Singapore, I mean, can you believe it?!!! Lovatics, unite! We love you, Demetria Devonne Lovato! May you stand tall, with music at your side. <3

  37. Hey! I’m Edwina Ryan Quek! I MAY not the BIGGEST fan of Demi but I’m can proudly say that i have been a fan of her for MANY YEARS! Ever since 2008, i’ve been supporting her from CAMP ROCK all the way till now i’m still supporting her, She has been a great model to me and many other kids/teenagers of my age as she is a great inspiration. She taught me to never let bullying become a obstruction to my dreams and i must never ever give up on my hopes and dreams! I’ve watched Demi changed not only as a person and as a artist as well. I have been dreaming of the day for her to come to singapore to have her own HEADLINING tour and the day is finally here! Sadly i could not afford the tickets for the show as my parents is not capable of paying it for me. It would mean the world to me if i were to win the tickets but if i were not to then i believe that you guys will choose someone else even more deserving then i do. Thank u. :D

Omggg honesty speaking, I still cant believe Demi is coming to Singapore. Firstly, she’s an inspiration and role model to me. Her songs was an encouragement and lullaby to me. I was once bullied when i was in my teenage years, I couldn’t thought of anything is been difficult as well. Demi’s song just make me stronger each time I hear. Her lyrics was almost the thought of what I went through and went Skyscraper released. It was even better, her lyrics got through me and yes I’m standing here tall once again. Her voice, words are just so beautiful. Her inner beauty was what caught my eye. Nevertheless, I would sing my lungs out If I’m the winner to her concert. Is going to be an advance b’day present for me and my twin sister who are huge fans of demi! Is going be a dream come true:D
    Thank you!

She’s been my inspiration since she started of with Camp Rock, I was totally blown off by her acting but majority is her singing. Till now I’m still blown off with her voice. Her music is my muse! I never been so attracted to any singers, but she was different. From the moment she produce her first album, I know that she is my favourite. I know that this singer can go very far even if anything hits her, she can handle it with everything. I learnt so much from her, from where she fall and how she pick herself up. This is a true artist! The lyrics was meaningful and it would go deep to me. Music, most importantly it needs to reach the audience and YES SHE DID IT. I never wanted this ticket so badly. I want to hear her singing live infront of me. I’ve been waiting for this moment and she finally came to Singapore. I hope this could bring an early birthday present to me.
    Thank you!

I might not be the greatest and biggest fan of demi lovato but she has always inspired me to become a better person through her own rough experience. Her songs are mostly very relatable and inspiring. Demi is a great role model to all teenagers out there that has always believed in her and now still standing tall because of her. Other than that, this is also a great opportunity for me to see her perform live and experience her own concert that I’ve been watching through youtube and wishing one day I could be one singing to her songs and watching her perform live.

Hi. Firstly I am really grateful for bumping into such an advertisement. I have been wanting to catch Demi live for a very long time now. And when I heard that she was coming to Singapore this March, I was overwhelmed. However, after hearing that the ticket was $93, I was disappointed because I knew that I couldn’t afford that. Thank you for giving me a chance to win the tickets. I really do hope I am one of the lucky winners as I would love the chance to go meet her live. There are many reasons why I like Demi. She’s probably one of those artists that I can relate to through growing up. Growing up hasn’t been easy for me too. Listening to her music, especially skyscraper, has motivated me and helped me get through life’s many obstacles. Sometimes we think our problems are big but then we don’t realise that others could have it worst. That was my biggest lesson. Till today whenever I’m faced with an obstacle, the first thing that comes to my mind is, “Demi did it, why can’t I?” I loved seeing her at X factor. & honestly, I was so proud to see her there. I used to tell my mom, “She’s my age and look at where she is and look at where am I”. Demi has been a huge inspiration to me and she’s probably the only reason why I dare to dream big. I’m a girl with big dreams. & I’m glad that she has shown me that it is okay to dream big. Just few weeks back I heard that Demi was not feeling so well but would still continue on her tour nonetheless. Some artists do so much for their fans but yet get shot back by the critics without warning. Of course, those are inevitable. I’m honoured to be a Lovatic & I really hope I get the chance to meet her. Or even if I don’t, I will be disappointed but at least I’d be glad that I got a chance to try, to which I have to thank you guys for. So, thank you. I really appreciate it. (:

Both of us have been following Demi’s career since the dawn of time! We first fell in love with Demi on “As the Bell Rings” – yes, even before the major hit, “Camp Rock”! She is so talented (both on and off stage), such a nice person and it’s going to be challenging to fit everything into this mini essay on why we love her!

It all started with Demi being a Disney darling. Her intense acting skills combined with her killer vocals is an unparalleled combination! Her voice really struck a chord (no pun intended…) in “Camp Rock”. Hell, she gave the Jonas Brothers a run for their money there! Plus, we also got to see what an amazing dancer she truly is! It doesn’t end there though – she really showed off her comedic chops on “Sonny With a Chance” – we still remember all the late nights spent falling off the sofa laughing! She’s a mega-inspirational person to millions around the world, and her hit song “Skyscraper” boosted that even further! After all the tough challenges she’s gone through (rehabilitation really takes a toll on you, but she had the courage to put herself through it), she still produces meaningful music with passion! I can’t even begin to fathom how hard a thing that is to accomplish. She has inspired so many people around the world, children, teens and adults alike, going through rough patches in their own lives. Demi is still standing tall like a “Skyscraper”! She loves her Lovatics! For crying out loud, her funs even made that super-cute (and in no way cheesy) nickname. We are defiantly the ultimate Lovatics. Amazingly, Demi returns the love shown by her adoring fans tenfold! WOW! Not only is she so nice, caring and thoughful to her fans, but she is such a loyal friend too. But wait! There’s more! Demi is such a charitable person. Even though she makes heaps of money she always makes the time and effort to share some with people who are less fortunate. She hopes to raise awareness about so many great causes like “Love is Louder than the Pressure to be Perfect” Demi is also such a fashionista; she can go from gorgeous and glam to rocker chic to boho beautiful and pull off every single look. We’d totally love to raid her closet, wouldn’t you?

Demi is such a creative artist and has written untold heaps of original content! She’s honest to, and is an avid blogger for Seventeen Magazine, sharing as much as possible with her fans. She is so down to earth and is truly courageous to share so much with her fans! Recently, she has also become a judge of “The X Factor US”, which probably the best thing to ever happen in the history of this show. Her advice to young aspiring artists is phenomenally touching and awe-inspiring; it truly makes many lives so much better!

We would be ecstatic if we were able to have this opportunity, not just to hear her killer vocals but just get a chance to see such a legend in the flesh!

Love you loads, Holly and Gabriella

    well, why?
Demi Lovato is a role model for me. Not only for me, but certainly for millions of people regardless whether they are lovatics or not. She has made an impact on people’s lives, in small ways and in big ways just by being herself. Her life stories inspire others and give others the motivation to #staystrong. Her music too, inspires. Her songs send out strong and impactful messages. From the start, I’ve been listening to her songs and love how she sing with emotions and how powerful her voice is. She is such an inspiration to millions. From Barney, to Camp Rock, Princess Protection Program, X-Factor, well I just love her and her will-power. Through her life experiences, she has given many advices personally to others for example, as a mentor to Jillian in X-factor, or as a large platform on twitter through her tweets. She is not afraid of being judged and she represents herself in the music industry as, well, herself. Though through her advices it might bring back bittersweet memories, she is willing to share them so that others can learn from them. If given this opportunity, I would be so appreciative and feel so blessed as I would be able to see Demi. ♥ I love Demi and will continue to love her as a person, as a singer, as an actor and certainly, look up to her as an inspiration. Here’s to me hoping that I would be the lucky one to be given this opportunity and this will be the first concert I’ve ever been to and it’ll be Demi’s ♥

    • Syaf Sdn says:

Hello, my name is Nur Syafiyyah and Demi Lovato is my inspiration. Not only did she inspired me, she saved me. Like, literally saved me. When I was 12, life in primary school was hard. You see, people wouldn’t stop making fun of me, my hair, my looks, my body, my family, me. I live with my mom with my other siblings. My dad, well, he’s doesn’t care.

My friends found out about my family and soon the whole school knows about it. They pretty much use that info against me anytime they could. Once, one of my schoolmate was being bullied by one of my friend’s buddies from the school next to mine. Being the naive 12 year old I was, came up to him and told him to stop. He said to me, “Mind your own business and leave us alone. No wonder your father left you, you’re nothing but a pain in the ass.” I was shocked. Hurt. Hurt at what he said. Hurt at the fact that even people out of my school knows. And hurt at how true his words were.

So when I got home, I overheard my mom quarreling over the phone with my dad. I started crying in my room, praying to God to take away my life at that exact moment. I was too stressed, I gave up. I gave up on trying to be “OK”. I changed. I started to ignore everyone. I wouldn’t talk to any of my friends, my teacher and even my family members. It was always School-Home-Sleep.

But then one day, I went to the nearest 7-11 shop near my house and grabbed a magazine. I flipped to one of the pages and saw an article about Demi; about how she became famous and her past. After reading the article, I cried, right there in the shop. Her past, her life was somehow similar to mine; getting bullied, feeling useless. I got home, and started doing a research about her. I wanted to know how she went through all of it, all of those pain.

After all those research, I automatically adored her. She said she wanted to be an idol to all those people who were feeling useless or sick of themselves. She wanted to save them. I wanted her dream to come true. To be an idol, to be a so called, Hero. I wanted to help people to realize how amazing they truly are. And like they said, “Be the change you want to see”. And so, from that day onward, which was on 17 July 2010, I changed and Demi became my inspiration. She saved me. I was just about to give up on life but she saved me.

She’s not just an idol to me. She’s more to that. I’m sure any of you reading this would think that I’m lying or that I’m crazy, but I’m not. She will always be one of my inspiration, my hero and I’ll always be thankful to her for saving me. I want those tickets because I want to thank her. To thank the girl who saved me 3 years ago, the girl who gave me the strength to stay strong. I love her so much and I hope I’m able to have the chance to finally meet and thank her. Winning those tickets would definitely mean a lot to me.

  50. The first time I heard of Demi Lovato was when the show – Camp Rock was released . I didn’t know anything about her , until a best friend of mine introduce this wonderful actress who is the lead actress in Camp Rock . That’s when I decided to watch Camp Rock . After watching camp rock , I went to find out more about her , like her birth date , her age , the shows she acted in , her family , her full name , which is what a basic fan would do at first . I was amazed by her voice in the past , but I prefer her acting to singing at that time . I watched most of the shows she acted in but also listened to all of the songs she has debuted . I followed her on twitter , liked pages of Demi Lovato on facebook . That time , one of my wish is to meet her and I still do ! during the time when she went into rehab , I was worried and I pray that she will feel better and show a better smile once she’s out . After her rehab , she became stronger than before . She created songs that are so inspirational , especially the song – Skyscraper . At that time , my life seemed alittle upside down. Things went wrong as I had to face things such as betrayal , “bullied” , and criticized by haters . However Demi was an inspiration to me and other Lovatics . She showed us the way to be strong . She told us to stays strong no matter how difficult the situation is . That’s because she understands us . I was deeply inspired with her real and wide smile , the way how she managed to stay strong and face difficulties . If its not because of her inspirations to all the teenagers in this world , I might have already given up and live an unhappy life right now . Thank you Demi ! Her jokes are so awesome , especially when she was being a “brat” to Simon during the X-factor . Now , my true friends said that I have been thinking positively and became a better person than the past . I suppose this is the influence I have gotten from Demi ! When some haters I have come across , they criticized Demi by calling her fat , etc . I stand up for Demi and forever will be . I hope to have the chance to see Demi ;D

    • (-continue) Ever since after how the song “Skyscraper” inspired me , I listened to all her songs . Be it old or new songs , I love them and I love her voice . That’s when I realise that some of Demi’s songs , I can relate to some of us . Demi Lovato has a great voice . Im amazed by that voice . She is talented , and that’s a fact . I remember watching a video on youtube , it was about someone in the crowd throwing a barbie doll onto stage . She simply just pick it , look at it, laugh and she threw that doll away and continued to smile widely . After watching that video , somehow I became like her , laughing and still smiling happily even when someone criticized me or made fun of me . Thank you Demi , for being my greatest inspiration .

(I’m sorry , I just want to add on more things that I forgot to add into my comment last night )

  51. I’ve been a Lovatic ever since the first time I watch Camp Rock. In that movie, I saw how she was struggling trying to be the best but she’s always hiding. Later after Camp Rock, I started listening to every single one of her songs. Listening to her songs, I felt connected. This Is Me is one of the songs i always listen to when i feel like im running away from the real me and being someone im not.
When I heard that she went into rehab, I felt that she isn’t just a celeb. She is human too. She faces stress and pressure, just like all of us. after rehab, she wrote a song named Skyscraper, and that is one of the most genius song I’ve ever heard. that song thought me that there is hope in life. everything you do, you have to stay strong. Fight whoever is bringing you down and keep going. don’t have any regrets. I look up to her all the time.
This concert might be the only way I get to thank her for all that she has done for me. Everytime I feel like I’m not good enough, I listen to skyscraper. that song keeps me going everytime.
Now, I would like to thank you for reading this post. actually I did not want to take part, but then I thought, what did Demi thought me? “Go run run run. I’m gonna stay right here, watch you dissapear.”
I’m not going to run. I’m going to try. I’m staying and trying my luck to win this. And if I don’t, it doesn’t matter, I’m still going to support and stay strong and never forget what she taught me.

    Thank you.

Ive been loving Demi lovato eversince i was still young and i’ll probably be doing the same till forever. She is someone i really look up to and also an inspiration to me. She has made me change my perspection of life so much, it totally made a new person. Like her, ive been through many tough times and there were many times when i wished ive given up. Demi’s strong, cheerful, lovable personality made me want to know more about her. Her appearance on Camp rock till now one of the most oustanding young singers ive seen. I have never fail to miss any of her movies. She is my best singer and my best motivation. Every of her songs never fail to cheer me up. There many times i really wish id see her sing live, listen to her talk about her life because listening to her is like listening to myself. Being able to see her, would be a dream come true.it would be the best thing that could ever happen in my lfe. It might sound exaggerating but its true, ive been listening and watch to her for almost half of my life..i want to thank her for being part of my life, for changing me into the person i am today. And im very happy and very glad she is coming here to this small island of mine. Thank you so much popspoken for giving such an opportunity for us lovatics. Im such all of us have been waiting for this wonderful opportunity.

I first noticed Demi during Camp Rock. To be honest, I listen to more of Demi and her songs than watching her act in shows. She is a lovely actress, obviously, but she’s just playing a role in the show, it’s not really Demi herself based on character-wise, on the other hand, her music defines who she is, which is the reason why I fell in love with her.

Till this day, I support her in everything she does. She has inspired me in many ways, let me tell you of just some of the many..

Demi isn’t like any other celebrity, such as Selena Gomez or Miley Cyrus, there’s just something in her, that got me so attracted when I first noticed her. Her music’s different, I like how her songs are relatable to my life. But the most important thing, that her songs did, was that it changed me to become a better person. Demi is the strongest person I’ve ever known. She went through so much in life, such as rehab -going in and finding out she is bipolar, and later on having an eating disorder. If I were her, I would never have been able to stand up on my feet, and continue my journey in life, I would have given up all hope.

After going through that period of time, she placed how she felt and she is feeling inside her, into her songs, which inspires me to stay strong, even at my darkest times. I’ve been insulted, bullied but her songs just made me look at things in life at a positive way. The way her family supported her then and now, its just amazing. And look at her today, even with having a bad past, her present is beautiful. She’s more beautiful and amazing as ever. She thought me, that even through darkest moments in life, there is still hope left.

After hearing that she will be coming to Singapore, I just couldn’t even think properly. I want to thank her, for everything. I want to take this opportunity to thank her for keeping my strong, and she told me to not stop believing. I really want to meet Demi, personally, and just give her a hug and thank her.

I hope that I will get to meet her, or just watch her perform. She’s my beautiful Demetria, and I’ll love her always,

Demi Lovato is unlike any other young superstars out there. Not only does she have a great voice that I would love to experience live, she is also truly an inspiration to me and others. When life pushed her down to her knees, she did not lay there and wallow in self-pity. Instead she put her brave face on, picked herself up and brace through her utmost personal battles like a true warrior. And for that she is, truly, my inspiration. All of us could do with a positive public figure like Demi Lovato. Regardless of what our personal battles might be, we can look up to Demi and draw valuable lessons from her on how to handle these battles. And that is why I love Demi so much – she is a living reminder that when you have hit rock bottom, the only way left is up and to always stay strong.

Demi has literally changed my life, I’ve been obsessed with people like One Direction and Justin Bieber, but I’ve never loved someone as much as i love demi. She saved so many lives by sharing her story. She used to be one of those teens who cut herself, had eating disorders, and wanted to lose weight because people in her school made fun of her. But she overcomed it, she went into rehab and now she’s healthy. I really want to win those tickets because i wanna know how it feels like to see your idol live. When i found out Demi’s coming to Singapore, i quickly begged my mom for tickets. I was really really really happy, like my idol who i look up so much to is coming to my country which not many celebs come to. When i saw camp rock, i wasn’t really a fan, and when sonny with a chance come out, i started to like her even more because her acting skill’s really great. Now whenever i hear her name or song or somethinh concerning her, I’ll go crazy, you can ask my friends, they’ve experienced it. But the main point is, i really want to win those tickets ((i don’t think i will because this is boring)), because i really love demi, and i really want to see her live.

  56. Irissa Nur says:

I have been a Lovatic ever since I saw her as a newbie on the carpet and then seeing her on Disney as Sonny Monroe. To be honest, I fell in love even more with her voice when I watched her intimate performance on youtube weeks back. The feelings and truth behind her voice is a rare talent that I believe no one can train their voice to produce such meaningful and raw emotions like what I see Demi Lovato emitting in most of her performances.

I didn’t know she was coming till my mother texted me one day saying ‘So, do you want to see Demi Lovato on 18/3?’ I freaked out during class!! I wanna win these tickets, for my mum, my best friend and myself. I may not have the same background as Demi, with the cutting or wrists or eating disorders or going to rehab but we both I know, we have had people blatantly talking crap about us, disregarding the fact that we can see their actions and still continue to do it as if nothing;s wrong.

I swear the feeling sucks, that’s why I can kinda feel the emotions Demi has underneath her lyrics. When she got out of rehab and released Skyscraper, I could feel all the pressure she had in rehab affected her voice slightly. So her voice was really raw on the track. Hence, I would love this oppurtunity to meet my dream :) she pushed through the hardest of times and still managed to get on top of everyone else, which is exactly what i hope to achieve in the future since im only just 16.

I really want to win the tickets to Demi’s concert just for my best friend because she is leaving Singapore forever probably before July. She is also not allowed to attend due to the cost of tickets which is why I want to help her by participating in this contest. She is a really big fan of Demi because her music has helped her to pull through the tough times she was experiencing and still does and I just want to make her last few months here memorable before she leaves and I don’t want her to feel sad that she’s not able to attend her favourite singer’s concert. This concert seems to have the perfect timing so I really hope I’ll be able to win this contest for my best friend and also,a very big thank you to you guys and MediaCorp VizPro for organising this contest. :)

Hmm. I don’t think I need to write much because I admit her genuine fans are all over the town (cos she is a worldknown superstar). I am just one of them. :)

Her voice is undoubtedly amazing but I prefer in admiring her personality, though. She also has excellent acting skills, maybe because she partakes in showbiz industry since young. But her personality draws my attention more. She is humble and looks clean from bad publicity in hollywood. She still accepts fans who want autographs and photos although her bodyguards say no.

It is what i read in newspapers. I never meet her in person thus this point of view can be biased. So, POPSPOKEN please make my dream comes true! :D

Hi! My fb name is ‘Salfiah Rosalina Bieber. I don’t mind if i don’t win. But what i wanted to say is i kinda hope i’ll win the 2 tickets. Demi lovato is the most inspirational artist that cheers me up. I was once like her. Bullied, abused, judged. Thank you for the song that she published. It brings me up. She’s the female hero to me. She was there to sing those songs which brings me up. I’ve been watching her movies and shows since long time ago. If i ever get to go, i would be really fangirling right now. And, i would cherish the time there if there was a m&g there. I don’t come from a really rich family and i wished i could have stuffs that other people have. I really wished i could win this so that i could enjoy this special day. Im really a lovatic and if i get to meet her, i would want to thank her for bringing me up. And… “Stay Strong!”

  60. Hi thank you for giving us lovatics this opportunity to win the tickets to Demi’s gig. I am the biggest lovatics in Singapore because Demi has taught me to be myself from the movie Camp Rock and taught me to get back up whenever someone brings me down. I began to love Demi since the movie Camp Rock and that is where it all started. Since then, I began to like her and her music. Another reason for me to join this giveaway because it is my bestfriend’s birthday and the gig itself is on the day before her birthday. So if I were to win this giveaway, I would like to bring my bestfriend who is also a lovatic to see Demi because its one of her wish to see Demi live and get up close with her. I really hope that I can win this giveaway. Thank you, Lovatics now and forever!

Hello :) First of all, I would like to thank Popspken for making this contest happen, it means a lot. I’m a huge fan of Demi Lovato ever since her Camp Rock days. Seeing how someone grew better as a person through time is really such an eye-opener. I salute her on how she isn’t fake and everything and she’s someone that’s brave enough to reveal the real her, not what people want but what she really is. Her music describes it all.. The day before school started this year, I was really insecure about everything. When I watched, Jillian Jensen’s Xfactor Audition, I literally teared because it means so much to me. How Demi grew from that girl that was bullied in school to one of the biggest teen pop stars of our time. Demi made me a stronger person, how not to take people’s words and affect me, and she did it through her music. I love Demi, everything about her. Her music, personality, everything. I really hope I get to win this and thank her for all that she have done, and to thank her on behalf of all lovatics, how she made us all better people :D

Hello there :) well ever since i was small I’ve seen demi on barney and friends but despite being young it was quite obvious that she’s ridiculously talented. I basically grew up always seeing her on my television. Looking at how far demi has come, i am so proud to be a lovatic because demi lovato is extraordinary. She has went through so much for someone thats only 20 years of age. I believe demi is such a strong person. In life there will always be obstacles in your way and demi has taught me to keep pushing even though you feel like you can’t go on because at the end of the day its your life. You call the shots. No one else can live your life but you. I love her for that, I love her for giving me faith and strength to believe in myself. It would be an honour to finally see her :’) xxx

I have been a fan of Demi since I saw her on Camp Rock. I absolutely fell in love with her voice & her amazing talents, and when her first album came out, I immediately bought it. When she went to rehab and came out stronger than ever, I was really inspired by her fighting spirit and her willingness to become a better person. I gained so much more respect for her after that. She inspired me to pursue my love for singing & performing in general. She taught me to never give up on my dreams despite the challenges that come with it and that I should instead use every challenge I have overcome as motivation to become a better artist and person as a whole. Being able to watch her perform live would be an absolute dream come true and it could possible make my life! I may have not been there since the start, but I have been supporting her since the day I watched Camp Rock and I’ll never stop supporting her in everything she does. I believe that that’s what makes me a Lovatic for life.

I’ve not been a lovatic since the first but i’ll be till the end. I really like how Demi go through all her rough life when she was young and also, she stayed strong even when it hurts. Anyway, i’ve heard her albums of unbroken and i’m still listening to it till now. It would be an honour to win this ticket as firstly, i’ve been wanting to mert her since i’ve became a lovatic. Secondly, she inspired to be strong at my lowest. Thirdly, hahaha i liked her wonderful laughter, how funny she is and how lovely she is to everyone. Four, her musics have been here with me at my lowest breakdown and also at my happy moments. Her music also reminds me of my best friend that is far away from me. She’s unique and a person that is down to earth. I would really love to meet her on the 18th of march since the very next day is my 17th birthday. It would complete my whole 16 years before turning 17 to meet the most beautiful and wonderful Demi Lovato. Lastly, i simply love Demi Lovato. <3

Demi fought through bullying just like how I did when I was growing up. It was never easy through adolescence being called names and being discriminated against for who I am. I tried moulding myself into another person but to no avail.

Finally, I mustered the courage to be who I am and take every piece of insult as an ounce of confidence. Today, I see myself rising higher above than those bullies from the ground just like a skyscraper.

The uncanny resemblance of our live stories made me attracted to Demi so much more. Thank you for being who you are unafraid and courageous.

  67. The first time I saw Demi and heard her sing was on Camp Rock and since then I really enjoyed all her music that she puts out. Not only is she an inspiration to those going through similar problems, she is also really down to earth for a celebrity.
I have listened to “Get Back’, ‘Here we go again’ and ‘Remember december’ countless of times. Not to mention “Give your heart a break.’ I probably have memorized most of her songs.
I love it when she posts videos on her youtube channel. She was so funny on X factor and one of the main reasons why I even watched the show.
Her voice is amazingly strong and unique. I would love to see her perform in Singapore. I hope I get the opportunity to catch her when she comes because who knows when is the next time she will be here.

I feel that she’s really brave and courageous to stand up, admit and do something her problems. She is not afraid to be herself. Her songs tells stories, and her songs are really inspiring. She inspires me to want to do good for other and not to be afraid to do what I want to do. Plus she has super duper awesome vocals! Just love her voice! So unique and different. Hey there :) I’ve been a huge fan of demi lovato since the very first camp rock. Demi have inspired me physically and mentally. She inspired me to be strong. I’ve been bullied alot during my time in high school. People been calling me names such as gay, homo and many more just because i dance and im a soft hearted person. I dont know what to do when i was in high school. When I reach sec 4 i kept watching sonny with a chance and the tv show stop halfway just because demi went to rehab to make herself better and have a better future. RIght after she went out from rehab she told her story to the whole world and it inspired me and the rest to not be insecure of what we do and what we are. Her tattoo is so unique and nice and whenever i broke down just because people bullied me verbally and physically i just take my phone out plug my earpiece and hear the only two songs that can make me feel better and stronger and the two songs are Give Your Heart A Break and skyscraper. I even set a note at my alarm clock and every morning when my alarm set off the note that pop out is ‘Stay Strong’ till this day i have never change the note. Yes that is how much demi affect me and my life. She have been my inspiration till now and she is the reason why im staying strong. She is my one and only role model. I even share to my juniors on my life in high school and all i kept saying to them that ‘The reason i am strong till now is because of her’. I hope i can have a chance to win the tickets just so see my role model performing live infront of my eyes. Giving me a chance to see her live is more than enough and it means a world to me. I hope you know how badly i want to win this even if i didn’t get a chance to meet her face to face, seeing her life it would be more than ok to me. Thank you :)

I la-la-la-love her music (both old and new) as well!

Well, I admire Demi so much for the immense talent she possesses, from acting, to singing, and song-writing. Her fashion sense is also incredible! <3

And most importantly, I adore her for her strength, that she kept strong through the most difficult of times. Although she may have fallen and hit rock bottom, she has shown us, and continues to remind us, through her music and actions, that we can and will rise back up.

Putting such strength into her songs made me love her even more, for being so sincere and genuine, unlike many artistes in the pop industry today. Demi is truly a beautiful, amazing person and it would be more than a dream come true to be able to see her, my inspiration, perform live.
I really hope I win the tickets because I can't afford to buy them. :(

Please do help me strike one thing off my bucket list and make my dream come true, dear lovely staff of Popspoken!

  75. I would love to win a pair of these tickets to see Demi live! I never call myself by a celebrity’s fandom nickname, but I am not in any way ashamed to call myself a Lovatic! Demi Lovato is not only superfluously talented (her voice makes me so jealous!) but also an amazingly inspiring young woman. I respect her for the transparency with which she approaches sharing her personal battles and triumphs. She is unafraid of showing just how human she really is. It is hard enough to be so open and honest about personal issues under normal circumstances, but Demi deals with much more pressure having to express herself under media spotlight. Yet she has this graceful way of staying composed while revealing her brokenness. She is diligent in making sure girls know that they are not alone, that there is hope, and that beauty can be found and even created in the dark places of their lives. I also love that she embraces her gorgeous curves! All in all, I look up to her for her audacity and fearlessness.

I always thought Demi was far more talented than the other Disney girls her age such as Selena and Miley, and hands down would be the one I would want to see sing live. I loved watching her on Sonny With A Chance and when the series carried on without her it didn’t give me the same lasting impression as it used to with her on board. 79. we supported Demi Lovato since her first tv appearance in the kids tv show barney. As kids we enjoyed watching her and Selena bonding as a child and were thrilled to her in our early teens on disney channel. Since Camp rock, “this is me” it has been our karaoke jam and we aspire to be as talented as her. We loved both camp rock 1 and 2 and loved the music from the first movie. Sonny with a chance was an ultimate fav and we definitely miss seeing her on a weekly bases. However we can now watch her on X factor. We loved her as a judge and feel she has great potential and a compassionate heart to allow contestants in up coming season to succeed. From don’t forget to unbroken we loved multiple songs on it such as La la land was an ultimate fav, to her featured charity single send it on. On her recent album we abosulutely loved give your a break and that will always be our jam. We look forward to her new single heart attack, we heard the demo and inspirational words and we look forward to hearing it, along with the rest of the album!
Love her story and how strong she is as a person, she is an inspiration to all those struggling and I feel that her songs really convey her emotions.
Love her and would love this opportunity
