Glee’s fourth season is ‘revolutionary’ & George Young wants to be in a boyband!

George Young

Your morning digest today: Chris Colfer confirms there are plans in store for Glee graduates, Lana Del Rey bombed her SNL performance, the Jonas Brothers might be reuniting, plus, a contest to find Asia’s next glam fashion blogger!

BLOGGER CONTEST: ONLY FOR THE FABULOUS

Good things first: Glam Asia’s looking for the next big fashion blogging sensation in Asia!  It doesn’t matter if you’ve been blogging for years or have just started: if you are a connoisseur in what you do, they want you. Entries open February 1, so you have plenty of time to prepare. And when you do win, do drop us a holla, won’t you? [Glam Asia]

MADONNA VS. GAGA

We really don’t like the typical female-vs-female catfight: it’s ugly and does not do anyone any good, especially when it is in the world of entertainment. There has been much buzz over Madonna disparaging Gaga over copying “Express Yourself” for “Born This Way”, but when we saw the actual quote in the Newsweek interview out January 30, we thought it did not sound too bad. Recognition does not amount to ripping someone apart, but the wording suggests some sinister Madonna-ism that is not telling the whole story. See it for yourself on the original link. JONAS BROTHERS REUNITING?

It took the Jonas Brothers a long time to dissociate from one another and establish ‘grown-up’ careers that are a far cry from their shrieking, wailing, pubescent days. So, it comes as a total shock when hints were being dropped of a possible reunion: 1) Single ‘Dance Until Tomorrow’ was leaked then confirmed as a ‘promotional single’, 2) New Year resolutions to make music together and 3) a release of a vintage clip of a performance for ’6 Minutes’. Are they really coming back together? You make the call. [PopCrush]

LANA DEL RAY BOMBS SNL

The indie darling of the year (all 17 days of it) was given a major break to perform at Saturday Night Live, but sounded like she was about to pass out from her own melancholic headiness. Barely incoherent, Lana suddenly reeked of a talentless pretty face – not something to boast about when you’re signed to Next Model Management’s talent division. Alas, the think-before-you-type phenomenon that is Twitter did not cut her any slack. Something tells us her debut effort ‘Born To Die’ may suffer from this performance. [Popdust]

CHRIS COLFER’S NOT GETTING A SPINOFF

Rachel & Kurt Take New York would have been so much better than that crap on TV now but do not fear, for everyone supposedly graduating is returning to Season 4. Graduated. So, um, now what? At the Golden Globes yesterday, Colfer hinted at a “revolutionary” new season that would somehow involve the graduated members in the show. Whether it’s the speculated B-plot of life after graduation or the other plot about coming back to coach New Directions remains to be answered. Oh, FYI, Colfer drank after he revealed the scoop – damn it, inebriation before exposé, Ryan Seacrest! [E!]

GEORGE YOUNG REVEALS THE SAME THINGS AGAIN

Before George Young takes off his top to spoof the Abercrombie & Fitch models on new sitcom The Noose tonight, this interview would probably tide you over while you wait for His Gloriousness to reveal his bod. Except he gets asked the same questions again – the lawyer background, his psychology degree, the push to become an actor etc. He reveals new things like his favourite Shakespeare character (“Iago from Othello”), his success rate with women (“about 20%”) and his dream career (“Patrick Stewart”). And oh, did we mention he’s a boyband fanboy? Imagine George Young with 4 other men performing synchronised dance moves to “Shape Of My Heart”. Hold that thought – you’ll probably see him do it when the boybands come down to Singapore next month. [Men's Health]
