Chord Overstreet is out of Glee Club!
Glee fans won’t be too happy to find out that their heartthrob blondie Sam Evans played by the cute Chord Overstreet will be out of Glee Club regulars line ups for the upcoming season.
When Glee returns to the screens for the third season on September 20th, Chord won’t be returning to McKinley as Sam to play alongside Quinn, Puck, Rachel and Finn.
Chord tweeted while still on tour with the Glee cast, saying: “Well it’s been a good year. Too bad its over. Time for summer and starting fresh.”
The shakeup at McKinley also seen Darren Criss (Blaine) & Harry Shum Jr (Mike) being promoted to series regulars.
Show creator Ryan Murphy recently announced that each of the original cast will be graduating in the next season, paving the way for a new cast to join the Glee club at McKinley.
Murphy said, “The show to me is about the way you express yourself as you start to move out into the world as a fresh, young person. Do we really want to have an eight-year [high school] senior? The only way somebody could stay on the show is if they flunk, and that is always a possibility. I think [Heather Morris' character] Brittany is pulling straight Fs.”
Fans of Chord & Sam Evans aren’t taking the news in their stride. In fact, they’re bringing the fight to Twitter.
Chord Overstreet immediately began trending on Twitter with a petition beginning shortly after the news was made public. The petition currently has 6,461 signatures.
Based on the shakeups, we are expected to see more of the Blaine-Kurt (Chris Colfer) gay relationship and some are guessing that Blaine will be transferring to McKinley High and joining their Glee Club.
If you ask me, I think Harry Shum Jr should be axed instead of Chord.
Mike, known for his sleek dance moves, never really had much impact on how the Glee story went on for the past two seasons (I only noticed his character when Tina dumped Artie for him on the first few episodes of Glee season 2).
Chord on the other hand, sings very well and his rendition of Justin Bieber’s Baby was simply too adorable!
Let’s hope the campaign to get Chord Overstreet back onboard will be successful!

Ryan Murphy should be called Moron Murphy, he has done it again, Not making Chord a regualr is moronic, and clearly shows that Murphys rise was a fluke, CHord is a great tallent and fricking hot too…..the right movie and youll see the next Brad Pitt type….
