Wedding Bells for Neil Patrick Harris & Partner!
Neil Patrick Harris from How I Met Your Mother fame announced that he and his longtime partner, David Burtka are planning to get married now that New York State has legalized gay marriage.
The 38 years old actor tweeted “it PASSED! Marriage equality in NY!! YES!! Progress!! Thank you everyone who worked so hard on this!! A historic night!” as soon as the state Senate passed the bill late Friday.
The couple have been in a relationship since 2004 and became parents to a pair of 8 month old fraternal twins, Gideon Scott & Harper Grace via a surrogate mother.
Neil has been very vocal on twitter about his desire to marry David, sharing on twitter “I’d sure love to get married. Please, NY Senate, vote in favor of marriage equality today. My family would really appreciate it.”
