Italian University Students Warned to Stay Away from Jersey Shore Cast
In an effort to preserve their dignity, an Italian university is telling its students not to fraternize with the Jersey Shore cast while they are shooting their reality show in one of the college’s dorms. The newest season of the Shore is set in Italy this year.
In a letter obtained by TMZ, the administration sends a warning to students about crisis soon to befall them.
Dear Students,
Our Housing dept. has informed us that starting May 9th there will be shootings inside the 2nd floor apartment of your building. We advise you to NOT sign any paper, let anyone in, and keep us informed.
The college offered also alternative housing or a refund to any student who wanted to get away from the dorms for the duration of the filming.
Italians have generally reacted negatively to the Jersey Shore, with one columnist saying the show is “the worst stereotypes of Italians, multiplied by thousands and Americanized.” (E.g. their use of the term ‘guido’.)
