Comic Book Movies That I Want To See

Thor. Hulk. Iron Man. Wolverine. Magneto. Batman. Captain America.

The big names of the comic book world have recently migrated to the big screen. Their majestic powers and out-of-this-world personae have been transformed into beautiful, colourful moving pictures.

Being an avid comic book fan myself, I am extremely delighted.

Well, only when the movie does justice to the original.

For example, Thor was anti-climatic. The first Iron Man oozed Tony Shark perfectly. The second, made nerds everywhere cried. However, I am not here to do reviews. I am going to be supportive today. I am going to give some advice to which direction this genre of movies should take.

The Comic Book Movies That I Want To See:

Civil War (Marvel)

Marvel has always been known for creating stories that interlinked heroes and villains from different stories. Civil War is one of the most exciting and thrilling stories that Marvel has ever put to print.

Civil War starts of with the government imposing a Superhuman Registration Act, requiring any person in the United States with superhuman abilities to register with the government. Naturally, some were for it and some were against it. Superheroes and super villains had to choose whether to reveal their identity or fight against the government. This sparked the start of the civil war.

Imagine Iron Man, Spiderman, Mr. Fantastic and Thor on one side and Captain America, DareDevil and the X-Men on the other. Now imagine watching it on a big screen drooling while you munch on your popcorn.

Arkham Asylum : A Serious House on Serious Earth (Batman/DC Comics)

The beauty of Batman has always been its villains. The dark demented souls that haunt the poor city of Gotham and torture their only saviour, Batman.

Normally, after Batman has beaten the shit out of these crazy fools, he will send them to Arkham Asylum, a psychiatric hospital for the criminally insane. A few of its infamous inmates would be The Joker, Two Face, The Riddler, Bane and The Scarecrow.

This particular story starts off with Arkham being overrun by its inmates. They have taken over the place and Batman has invited over, by Joker of course, to join in the party.

This story has been successfully translated into game and I hope with all my Christmas wishes that I will be able to watch this in a theater.

And that, is all.
